I usually start feeling queasy after 20 laps of go karting. Maybe you get the final stint so you have to sit in the vomit?

Yes?

I went to the mechanic today to get my rear brakes done, I needed new calipers as well because one of the pistons seized, and when the car was up on the hoist the mechanic noticed that both the rear springs have snapped, it looks like it happened a while ago as well.

He couldn't find any new springs, or shock assemblies just the shocks but I was able to find a used assembly for $199 for both sides. So should I continue to try and find new parts or do you think the used parts would be alright. Keep in mind just one new shock is $250, so with the spring and labour I'd probably be looking at about $800. I'm leaning towards the used ones.

I love my car. After spending two weeks driving around Europe, driving up and down the Alps, hairpin bends, bombing up the Autobahns at 130mph, it didn't put a foot wrong. Also getting 500 miles out of a tank was a surprise, considering it was rammed full of holiday stuff (tent, sleeping bags, huge suitcase and a ton of booze on the way back. I usually just get over 300. I averaged 38mpg which isn't bad for a 2.0t with over 220bhp.

Car failed its NCT (called an MOT in the UK I believe) at the weekend, one of the reasons was a dim headlight, turns out there was a hole in the headlight and moisture had gotten in there and was making the beam dim. So I spent my Sunday taking the headlight off, then taking it apart, cleaning it up, applying some lens tape and putting it all back together, seems to have done the trick so very pleased with it. Now to take care of the 4 other faults from the test. :slol:

Finally got my new wheels ordered. 2016 model E220 saloon. It's less sporty than the C250 coupe I was originally supposed to get but it's still a significant step up from my girlfriend's 2008 Ka I'm running around in right now.

Congratulations. The E Class is a wonderful car. Haven't driven the E220 but the E300 was awesome.

I'm thinking about having my car paint corrected but am not sure if I should wait until after winter as I don't want to have it corrected and then get buggered over in Winter.

I'd definitely wait. Definitely.

Sweet. Mercs just look awesome now. The generally more aggressive front end has really sorted out the whole thing, IMO. I doubt there'll be a single moment when you regret that.

In other news, have people seen the new Focus RS? The price was announced this week: starting price of less than £29k. For a four-wheel drive, 345bhp, 0-60 in 4.7seconds, five-door monster. I know it's 'only' a Ford, and cue Falsey complaining about door rattles or something, but that is just incredible bang for your buck.

I really want it.

Damn as I was parking I clipped the car next to me at my work car park.
I couldn't see any damage to the other car nm but then noticed a massive white mark on my car which lead me to see where it hit this other car.
Luckily there is are no dents on either of our cars and just white paint on my silver car.
The White car that I touched has no paint marks and looks ok

Yes, I've seen it and it could compete with other hot hatchs, but the price of the RS could be a winner. Let's see how it drives and performance. I trust it will be unbelievably good like the Fiesta ST.

Corsa VXR arrived, yet the reviewers said the Fiesta ST is still the best and hard to beat. :datass:

I am going to need to drive for my job fairly soon so I'm about to start lessons. I have a good driving instructor recommended by a friend, and I've just got 45/50 on the practice theory test (https://www.gov.uk/practise-your-driving-theory-test) with no revision and without having read the Highway Code. Some of the questions on that test were lower-level GCSE Science easy. Is that the actual level of the theory test?

In terms of cars, I'll probably need to take some fairly bulky kit out with me to clinics. With that in mind, and with children not exactly far away, I was thinking of getting a small MPV. Maybe slightly bigger than a car, but not full on Renault Espace size. Anyone got any recommendations on that front?
