Close to £4k. Possibly £5k.

Geniunly feel like crying. If it wasn't converted to a camper I'd scrap it and buy something else for not much more, but as a camper it's worth £16k

I too would like to know this list of problems as I've still got issues with my old car that I'm trying to sort out and it will make me feel better.

Can you not take it somewhere else? Is this a main dealer? Can they give you the split of labour and parts?

Yes?

I think i might be able to save £500-1000 by sourcing my own new wheels and tyres. They said they'd fit them so for the price of the generic stuff they have and crap cheapo tyres for a disgusting price, I could pay less and get some rad 2 fast 4 me rims.

Ad, PM me the reg and the parts you need mate and I'll see about pricing up parts through work.

I'm not due back at work until Tuesday, but I can pop in and give them a call.

Why do you need new wheels? Did you forget the bit where you were in a police chase, drove through a stinger and then drove through a garden centre rockery before making your escape?

Yes?

It came with land rover alloys fitted when eee bought it about 4 years ago. I think they're about 19 inches and when I recently had some nice new tyres put on, it was rubbing against the bodywork very slightly. It soon went away though but they say it's illegal for them to do so (I assume how they've got it jacked up or resting is making it make contact, possibly the fronts on hard lock as this can make them rub).

Had a minor motorway collision today! I was on the far right lane travelling at average speed...maybe 80. When a small black van decided to move into me without signalling. I was obviously positioned in his blind spot.

My immediate reaction was to swerve to the right and put my foot down on the accelerator to evade him. Heard the clunking sound of our wing mirrors touching and he backed off. Looking into my mirror I saw him swerving into the first lane where there was a lorry which he nearly hit too, instead of just going back to the middle lane.

I didn't think much of it as there was no damage so carried on, I actually stopped at the nearest service station which was only about 1 minute away as I needed the toilet. He didn't come in the services though...tbh I don't think he saw me go in as I was speeding ahead of him.

My car is really dirty though, just had it washed and now I can see black marks on my white wing mirror. No dents just marks so hopefully can get it off.

Hang on, don't you drive a bmw? If he's in a van then his mirrors are about 3 foot higher than yours are...

Are you sure it wasn't your mirror clipping the front wing of his car because you decided you're better off putting your foot down rather than taking avoiding action?

Glad ur ok bbz x

I too nearly had an inccident this morning.

I was in the left lane of a two lane traffic system, 30 limit. A bin truck pulls out into the lane at a very slow speed im going about 25 . I decided to move into right lane to avoid, but checking side mirror on movement theres a car going about 40-45 zooming toward me. I then slam on(sort of between the two lanes but still more in the left one) and proceed to let bin lorry out and car to right pass, then overtake bin lorry.

It was most likely my fault, I should have just stopped/slowed down when I was cut off rather than moving lane. But I know if I'd been the car speeding down the hill and saw the incident happening ahead of me I'd have instinctively been preparing for potentially letting the other car out rather than speeding down the hill.
