I always find the concept of Biker Mice from Mars hilarious. That must have been the slowest day in the office when they came up with that idea

So we've got these mice.

Mice? That sounds lame.

Well, they're biker mice.

Biker mice? Hmm, still not loving it.

And they're from Mars.

DO IT!

Was just thinking the exact thing

It's like they had a series of hats with paper in them that they would randomly pull out to form an idea

Triforces of Wisdom, Courage and Power. Duh. Ganon ALWAYS has the Triforce of Power, which would leave two, Wisdom and Courage. Both Triforces. Simple Trimathematics.

Take away a Triforce from the Triforce, and you still have a Triforce.

Same argument can be labelled at most cartoons. Transformers for instance.

So there's these robots.

Robots! Never seen that one before.

No, no wait. These robots come from another planet and turn into cars

Cars? They have cars on other planets?

Yeah. And they have planes. Although the planes are bad guys.

Makes sense.

gooseberry fool, forgot to mention the main bad guy is a robot that turns into a gun.

A gun? You're shitting me. This sounds far fetched. Even for a cartoon.

Did I mention there's a robot that turns into a tape deck?

A tape deck? holy gooseberry fool. Best thing ever. Commission it and get the toy department to make some protoypes. A robot that turns into a tape deck! We'll make millions.

It was more a case of not wanting to encourage kids to sneak about and throw sharp bits of metal at each other, I think. Or lift manhole covers and sneak about in sewers, I assume.

They were less bothered about toxic mutagens.

Actually, in Transformers case, they already had the toys. The poor bastards who got lumbered with the TV show had to try and make sense out of them.

But Biker Mice from Mars was more like "Well, these guys have mutant turtles, what do we have?" Which inevitably led to Biker Mice, and Battle Toads.

Cool little piece of trivia about TMNT (or TMHT) - The toxic stuff that makes them mutate is from the barrels that leaked into the sewers when Matt Murdock jumped in the way of them (and then went on to become Daredevil).

I know, but it's just that title in particular that always tickles me, it's almost intentionally cobbled together

At least Transformers sounds cool.
