Animation geek to the rescue!! 8-)

The staggeringly beautiful and heartbreaking opening theme to 'The Animals Of Farthing Wood'-

Super catchy 'Penny Crayon' -

Ultra cool 'Bravestarr' (with added strawberry floating cool talking horse with bazooka)-

Some of you going to scream your head of when you see 'The Brollies'...amazing theme btw...

Nineties morning cheese 'Denver The Last Dinosaur'...

Just because its funting brilliant - 'Pole Position'

And the masterpiece that was 'The Dreamstone' - the cartoon most often on the tip of the tongue of most people - this is the one!

Oh, the Dreamstone. I remember that being amazing. I seem to remember from my childhood that actually had something resembling a continuity. Stuff happened, and sometimes IT WAS THE SAME WAY NEXT EPISODE.

Yeah, we've kind of crossed the event horizon now for checking if someone has already posted a video, haven't we?

I've heard of less than a third of these, and that's not counting the ones that aired before I was old enough to watch them (I'm 24). :(

What cartoon intro do you guys think has the best lyrics?

The Gaellic version of Charlie Chalk, which I cannot find online for the life of me.

I'd link to Round The Twist in place of that, but I can't since that's not a cartoon.

So in third place, here's "Run With Us" from the end of the "The Racoons" (and bizarrely, the end of "Hobo With A Shotgun").

Have I been incredibly dense or has no-one posted this yet?

God I loved Bucky O'Hare. Had a look at the wiki page for it a while back and two things blew my mind: the cartoon was based on the comic, not the other way around and it only ever had 12 episodes.

I used to live in Chorlton! We walked past the Cosgrove Hall studios on the way to the supermarket.

They were closed. :(

The studios that is. Not the supermarket.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Ok, let's get a little more obscure. Not a cartoon series, this was a feature. Anyone remember Peter No-Tail?

And the mesmerising works of Yoram Gross. The Camel Boy anyone?

Once Upon A Time... Man

The ending's a bit downbeat to say the least.

Is it really page 4 already without a mention of the greatest cartoon theme in the history of ...stuff like cartoon themes and stuff?

or maybe I just missed it.
