True story- for a long time I thought Junior was Robert Downey Jr's surname. It wasn't until I found out his dad was called Robert Downey that I realised.

Downey's production company just bought the rights to make a film from the concept I think. Not being remade for TV.

But each episode showcases a different potential future reality. What he's gonna do, cherry pick bits of each?

Nah, it's just the third episode. They'll add half an hour somewhere and release it as a film.

Didn't think much of last nights episode at all and that incessant screaming drove me up the wall.

Yeah sorry, that's what I meant. Just the third episode.

Didn't think much to any of the episodes. Looking back on the whole thing now, the only one I'd recommend to anyone is the third from the first series.

i.e the one not written by Charlie Brooker. Got weirded out with the mention this was based on something originally for Nathan Barley. Having to remember Nathan Barley.

Last episode wasn't great, probably my least favourite across both seasons. First season was definitely better overall.

Black Mirror, Channel 4's Emmy-winning 'Twilight Zone for the modern age', returns in the form of a feature-length film for Christmas. Three interwoven stories of Yuletide techno-paranoia collide in the most chilling and mind-bending Black Mirror yet.

Creator Charlie Brooker said: "I always enjoy a good ghost story at Christmas, and I'm a sucker for the Amicus’ compendium horror movies of the 70s. Our aim is to create the Black Mirror equivalent of that."

Cast announced -

Mad Men star Jon Hamm is to star in the Christmas special of Charlie Brooker's dark comedy Black Mirror.

Hamm, whose other credits include 30 Rock and film drama Million Dollar Arm, will be joined by fellow actors Rafe Spall and Oona Chaplin.

"I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the Black Mirror Christmas Special. I have been a massive fan of the show since its inception," Hamm said.

The 90-minute special starts filming in the UK this week.

Hamm added that Black Mirror's "dark humour and intelligent observation of our society and values hooked me deeply as a viewer and I'm honoured that Charlie and the rest of the creative team have asked me to participate in wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas".

avclub got the review of this up a few days ago somehow

skimmed it, doesnt spoil anything i dont think.

anyway just started watching this last week - was very hooked on the first episode.

second episode is a bit silly and OTT

third episode was good, if its the one im thinking of - where you can replay your memories back. thought it was weird cause the guy seemed to be perfectly happy, not really jealous or whatever - then once he found out that she slept with his mate when complete nuts and mindraped her (is that the term?)

the 2nd season was good, white bear probably being the best of them, followed by the waldo thing - if only to see the shitty CBBC animation for the bear, my days. the other one was okay, but its a silly premise - of course you'd regret bringing a fake person back to life idk man. keeping him in the attic in the end was pretty sad and brutal, especially seeing the kid go up there to feed him ): - kinda wonder though why she just didnt push him off the edge of the cliff - i mean, i kinda get it, but surely after 5/6 years you'd do something about it instead of keeping him in your attic forever? also if this service was available to lots of people, surely thered be hundreds/thousands of mindless shells walking about and not just her boyfriend?

oh well, excited for the chrimbus special!
