I still never got onto the second series of this, which is madness because I love them. The Christmas one was spectacularly bleak.

strawberry floating yes. :datass:

The first two seasons are back on UK Netflix. Not up on Irish Neflix yet for some reason although apparently they will be by the time the new episodes are out.

Edit: They're up now.

I watched the first three and it's as brilliant as ever!

Nosedive:
Joe Wright did an incredible job directing this, it looks amazing. The story was fairly straightforward and you could see where it was going but I really liked that ending.

Playtest:
Once it got going this was pretty much pure horror film, and a good one at that! Loved the cupboard scene. Not quite so keen on the multiple endings but it was still a truly excellent hour of TV.

Shut up and Dance:
I think this might be the first episode since S01E01 that was present day and didn't use any future tech, which makes it all the more plausible and frightening. Again it was a brilliant hour of TV and some incredible acting in this one. A rather bleak ending (as usual with Black Mirror) but you could tell it wasn't ever going to have a happy one.

Hard to rank them as they've all been superb and distinct from one another.

I've watched three as well and very much enjoyed them. Shut Up and Dance is so strawberry floated. :dread:

I thought it was a pretty bad ep.

Followed the same trend as the other weak episodes of the show by relying too much on a twist ending that you could see coming after 15 minutes.

San Junipero was amazing! That's definitely an episode that couldn't have been done without the bigger budget they've (presumably) now got.

I completely missed the 'twist' at first and still really enjoyed the episode. I thought the hackers were just making up the child porn thing as the video they filmed wouldn't have shown what he was watching.

Yeah I just watched that. Brilliant and quite unlike the rest of the series.

I just watched S1E1 as I've never watched this show before and it was so grim. Not really sure what I felt about it other than unease. I do know I'm really intrigued to watch another though.

The first episode isn't the best to judge the series on. Watch S1E2 then you'll know if it's for you or not.
