I thought it was genuinely very funny throughout. Brooker certainly didn't have a hard time finding miserable news to be funny about, and there were some (intentionally) pretty obvious set ups all the way through, but it was very good from start to finish.
I even enjoyed the Cunk on Christmas special afterwards. Jay Rayner's face when she told him bread sauce looks like jizz.
