Rape should be sex that is non-consential, not if a man sticks his cock in you without consent.

Statute

The offence is created by section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003:
“ 1-(1) A person (A) commits an offence if—

(a) he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis,
(b) B does not consent to the penetration, and
(c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents.

(2) Whether a belief is reasonable is to be determined having regard to all the circumstances, including any steps A has taken to ascertain whether B consents.
(3) Sections 75 and 76 apply to an offence under this section.
(4) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable, on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for life.

I think he's having a dig at me for something, but I can't figure out what.

I did previously (once) refer to that definition, as you have done just now, and he accused me of making the same point over and over. You'll probably incur his 'wrath' now.

Apparently pictures of the rape victim are circulating the internet. Lifelong anonymity in the Internet age.

Isn't anyone who circulates/re-posts them opening themselves up for a Contempt of Court prosecution?

Only if you're UK based. Nothing to stop someone in any other country doing it. No risk to them.

I wonder what the publics reaction will be if he wins his appeal. I guess it might depend on the reasons for a successful appeal though. if they decide that the new evidence casts doubt on the victims testimonial then people probably will say he got away with it but if the appeal decides that she lied etc then some may change their minds but I think whatever happens the majority will still see him as a sexual offender.

Ched Evans won his appeal. I'm stunned.

He is now to be re-tried. Interesting to see what the new evidence is.

Interesting to see what retrial shows but I'll leave it till then, the names I was called earlier in this thread were disgraceful, never try to be devils advocate on grcade, ever. Lesson learned.

You could say I have a Ched on my shoulder about it.
