NEW REVIEW: Mars Almond

For those unaware let me explain....Chocolate Mission is a site dedicated to finding 'THE BEST' chocolate/Candy Bar in with world. My reviews are purely my on opinion and though I am often sent products to try from suppliers, this is purely based on the premise I have the right to say whatever I want. This is a site purely ran for fun...it is not written to the standard of Shakespeare, nor is it run for profit.

Here You will find - the latest reviews, upcoming review details and a place to post recommendations for bars you want to see reviewed....you got a question on chocolate Fire away!

A. Hotel Chocolate 85% Dark Chocolate

Q2. How fat have you got eating all this chocolate?
A. Chocolate is part of a balanced diet I eat pretty much everyday - I haven't actually gained a pound

Q3. Why dont you review a.......??
A. If you request a review I will do my best to fufill it.

Q4. Why do you do this?
A. Im using this as experience to building my own website when I leave university...plus I simply love chocolate...go figure.

Q5. Can I subscribe to the Website?

A. You certainly can ---> CLICK Image

Q5. OMGZZZ When is the Cadbury Wispa coming back?
A. I swear if I get asked this one more time.... Cadbury Wispa will be coming back October 6th 08 (LINK) .... there are also rumours of bringing back the Wispa Gold and Wispa Mint for a limited period...this is however purely speculation at present

Australia, which is a terrible chocolate country. The only vaguely interesting and different chocolate bars we have our plain Cadbury ones that have different types of fillings; like rocky road, peppermint, assorted creams etc

And they're not really that nice. Some of the ones you've reviewed just look amazingly tasty though :o

Toffee Crisp is possibly the best chocolate bar ever.

But they're too small.

Any faves!? I have recently just tried the last of the Cadbury bars we get here in the UK...the wholenut and turkish! Neither of which are amazingly special - those reviews will be posted soon!

You do get some great bars in Australia - just the other day I was commenting on how you get one bar and we dont!? ahhhh that was it!! The Cadbury Old Jamaica...this one HERE .... it seems you do get some great bars we dont anymore! If you got any thoughts on my reviews from the bars from OZ would be great to hear your views on the site using the comments thing....its not often I get feedback from dannnnn unda! All my OZ reviews are HERE

Jaxley - in your post you pretty muched summed up my page long review on the toffee crisp :D :D its HERE if your interested!

Neo - I probably will be dieing of diabeties soon! Fancy the $0.77 of adsense money my site makes a day when I pop it!? Naaa im not worried to be honest...because I do eat chocolate everyday im pretty way about this sort of thing so eat a balanced diet...to be honest this will sound weired but because I know im going to be eating chocolate at some point I make a point of eating healthier the rest of the day...its probably doing me some good!

My favourite bar but that link is to just Dairy Milk, sans whole nuts.

Opening the wrapper, the Dairy Milk aroma quickly became evident - I think anyone whos had a Dairy Milk bar before will be able to relate to that extremely distinctive Dairy Milk smell, a creamy cocoa scent...gorgeous.

Commented on the Ole Jamaica.

You've inspired me to go on a chocolate hunt tomorrow and try a bar I haven't before in Australia; there's got to be more bars out there that are good. I do miss Munchies, Galaxy Chocolate, Twix and Whispas though.

One of the most popular bars in Australia is the Cherry Ripe bar. I don't know if you've tried it, it's a mixture of cherry and coconut covered in chocolate - sounds lovely, but it's very bland. Might be worth trying though if you haven't had it before.

That's a great site, Jim. I love chocolate, always have, and I have special fondness for white chocolate. It'll be the death of me, I know it, but I simply must have a chocolate fix once a day, every day. I'm rather ashamed to say I'm not too selective about my impulse buys (Mars, Twix, KitKat, etc). I'm partial to Turkish Delight and, scandalously, the family-sized Cadbury's Crunchie chocolate bar I stashed in the fridge yesterday went 'missing' overnight.

I found the evidence of an empty wrapper in the bin tonight and my shame-faced flatmate is not saying a word. I can't believe he scoffed the bleedin' lot.

Love the whole ethos of Chocolate Mission. I will be spending some more time perusing it's delights...

You gave Lindt Double Milk and the white Ritter Sport with Hazelnuts very generous ratings.

You have fine, fine taste.

I see that under the Marks & Spencer tab you've only reviewed the swiss tube chocolate.

You NEED to review the emperor of all chocolate - the M&S White Mountain Bar. I've got a feeling that you'll like it.

That's what I miss, the Double Decker. Don't think we have it in Australia Jim, I used to have loads when I lived in England and it always felt like an epic accomplishment finishing one. My girlfriend lives about an hour away by car and I always grab a chocolate bar for the road, I'll try and hunt one down in an import chocolate shop for my next trip, it would probably keep me going for the whole journey.

After your write up of the Lindt 70% bar it will be pretty hard to resist though.

Cal - Funny you should mention the Turkish Delight - I reviewed the Cadbury's version the other day! I think its lined up to be posted tommorow (Thursday!) so look out for that. Thats an absolute shocker abour your flatmate - you should get him to reimburse you ... im assuming it was one of of those 235g bars! He must have been on a chocolate binge to scoff all that in one! I think it would make me rather ill! Thanks for the kind words about the site bud!! Have fun cruising around - if you have any opinions just stick a comment on it, would be great to have your 2cents!

Gil-Martin - Yeah my M&S range reviews are limited at just the oneat the mo!! I always like reviewing bars on recommendations! Believe you me that white chocolate M&S bar is now earmarked! Next time im in town (possibly today!) I will pick one up! Expect that review in a few weeks!

Mr Yoshi/Greg - The Double Decker certainly is one of my faves...I often get e-mails regarding why it isnt number one...its good but its not the best! One thing to look at in your import shops is anything made by Hotel Chocolat ... stuff of the gods most of it! The Lidnt 70% is also full of win though if you like your dark stuff!!

....right off now to sample some more crazy Japanese flavour Kit Kats :o

Is M&S a bit of a walk away or something?
