If anyone's after a funny book to buy a loved one, I'd recommend OS maps of the Brecon Beacons and the Peak District because they're hill areas.

I'm not sure my nephew would get the joke. I will keep it stored for the next 13 years, until such time that he will sigh and give me serious side eye, and question how people have let me live so long.

Anyone have any suggestions for something to buy an eleven year old boy?

As he gets older I'm finding my nephew trickier and trickier to buy for. Annoyingly he doesn't have a console - his parents aren't keen on them - which rules out a lot of my area of expertise. He's keen on watching Minecraft videos on YouTube and he reads loads, but I have no idea what he's read already.

So far we have him a boomerang ball on his mum's suggestion, but I'd like to get something else as frankly it looks a bit cheap to me. In the past we've bought him a lot of Harry Potter Lego, but I'd prefer to avoid buying HP branded stuff where possible. Tempted to maybe get a different Lego set - I know they have Minecraft ones but I've always thought they looked a bit rubbish.

Yeah if anyone has any fun present ideas you've seen recently, I'm all ears.

I want to get a National Art Pass for my girlfriend. But the pricing on the website is really weird. It’s 25% off if you pay by Direct Debit but if you select to buy it as a gift this isn’t an option.

Has anyone got one that knows what the options are when you buy as I’d really rather not pay full whack if there’s a way around it.

I've not read them, but Max Brooks (World War Z) has written a couple and they seem to have good reviews.

An Airfix kit? Does he like any sports, bands etc? Comics? Manga?

If you live nearby you could take him out to an arcade and have a gaming day (this may be more than you want to spend ).
