Hi GRcadians,

It's almost time for Christmas and I hope you all are set for Christmas Day. As I expect, a few of you may do the last-minute shopping today or tonight before tomorrow. Anyway, I am sure many of us will be busy during this weekend and the reason I make this thread so we all can say something to each other.

2016, the death of year 2016, it's not only the celebrities who have died. It has been one of the hardest and worst years I've had. I have lost a couple of loved ones in our families and our longest neighbour we have had as well. It was a shock loss to us, but what we could do is remember for who they were. We must keep going with nice memories that we shared together and going forward with our lives. So, a new year resolution? I don't have one and I think it is, mind my language, a lot of gooseberry fool. I can only say I hope you all have a happy and healthy new year for 2017.

Lastly, of course, I would like to start off with a bang and I am willing to donate £20 to GRcade for Christmas. I also would like to say Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year for 2017. All the best for yourself, your families and your friends.

Obviously politically and celebrity wise it has been a strawberry floating awful year. But personally it has been great, my wonderful son was born, I finally picked up my degree and I'm currently munching through a diet of Hula Hoops and Quality Street. :wub:

What a year. With so much crap going down IRL it's nice to have this little GR portal to wander into. There have been quiet a few squabbles but lots of terrific chat and "bants"*, too. It's not much of stretch to say that GR is a big part of my enjoyment of videogaming; I spend way more time in here chatting about games than I do actually playing them. I don't wander into the Stuff area quite so much, but it's often entertaining and eye-widening when I do :lol:

It doesn't feel like Christmas at all to me. I'm on my own this evening and my wife is working all of the Christmas period. I'll be seeing very little of family tomorrow and will most likely get drunk playing games by myself in the evening. But despite this, I'm still happy and loving life right now.
