Hot on the heels of Wordle and Connections comes another daily browser game that I’ve been playing for the last couple of weeks, based on how well you know movie collaborations and the filmographies of various actors.
Vulture release a new puzzle every weekday asking you to fill in a 3x3 grid with nine movie titles that match the requirements for both that column and row.
So if the row is “Jim Carrey” and column is “Kate Winslet” you would need to enter a film starring both of them, which in that case is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. For “Jim Carrey” and “Released from 1990 - 2010” you could enter any film he starred in during that period but crucially not Eternal Sunshine again, as all nine films must be unique.
An example of how a typical game might play out:
You only get nine guesses in total so entering a movie that doesn’t meet the required criteria will mean a perfect score is impossible. Once you’re done (or you’ve given up) you get an overall score based on how obscure your answers are compared to all other players, which you can share here.
Anyway, give it a go!
