If this was Civ V my suggested tactic would be to just steal their worker(s) and pillage all their land.

Anyone catch the dev live stream? The new systems look interesting, although I'm not crazy about the decision to have the same seven governors for every civ. There is potential for a full on Amani convention in contested city states, very weird.

I guess if they're all supposed to have unique traits, there can only be a limited number, but 7 does sound low. Maybe they'll be hard to earn?

I like the introduction of historic moments contributing to era score. Might make sacrificing tiles for wonders a bit more tempting than it was.

Really looking forward to the loyalty system coming in. One of my favourite late game tactics previously was capturing neighbouring cities by pumping out loads of culture, so looking forward to doing that again.

Just bought the digital deluxe version in the Steam sale, I got to say, I'm not really feeling this very much :?

It just doesn't really feel like a proper civ game for some reason. Maybe it's just the menu's and UI.

iPad version any good? Think my lappy isnt up to VI so could get it on the gf's iPad if the experience is on par to the PC variant.

I can see the loyalty mechanic causing me to have a few "oh gooseberry fool!" moments.

"Be sure to combat war-weariness with golf courses."

That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard out of one of these videos. Surely they could've thought up something better, like a Highland Games tile, or a freaking Crannog?

INT: FIRAXIS STUDIOS

DEVELOPER 1: Scotland, the home of Robert Burns, Braveheart, whisky, and bagpipes, but none of those are buildings. What kind of unique structures could a nation like that have?

DEVELOPER 2: Doesn't President Trump own a golf course over there?

DEVELOPER 1: Yeah, that'll have to do, I'm late for lunch as it is.

Obviously kind of funny...but you do realise Scotland is literally the home of golf right? Home to the oldest Golf course in the world? The country widely accepted as being the origin of the modern game?

EDIT - Also apparently more golf courses per head of population than any other country in the world.

Pretty sure Trump has nothing to do with it being in Civ.
