It's a good thing that neither of them invaded you at the last moment :simper:

They couldn't if they wanted to. I had a more advanced navy and army than them. :toot:

I started possibly the most boring game I've had of this today.

Playing as Trajan on a continents map. There are no other AI controlled nations on my continent. Just City states and Barbarians. Barbarians are running rampant because the City states only care about their immediate zones of control, and with no other proper nations alongside me, it all seems a bit dull and pointless. Sure it's nice to have a continent where you can just get on, but what's the point?

Research ships and invade another continent.

Hello People,

Civilization 6 is one of my most favorite games.

It is that a final digital parlour game. quite ever within the series, the board—the world—is the soul of each chance and challenge.
As, was common for Civ, I build empires, contend for a group of finish conditions, and head off hawkishness leaders like that villain Peter the good. however I’m conjointly taking part in for, with, and against the board.

 Perfect.

I've actually spent a good few hours on this over the summer holidays, after leaving it alone some time ago. I found it so hard to get into this, but I'm glad I stuck with it and gave it another go this summer - it's finally starting to click.

I must say though, and it's probably my own fault for my play style I suppose, but the games tend to be much less interesting than they were in Civ V. Still, it's got me hooked again, at last, so it must be doing something right!

I need to give this another go soon. I've barely touched it since a couple of unsuccessful playthroughs near launch. Has there been anything significant in the way of updates since then, or just a couple of new civs?

Peter Crisp is the villain of Civilisation VI?

It's just new Civs in terms of DLC, but the updates have sorted out a few of the initial niggles (including the insane number of barbarian attacks in the early to mid game!).

Thank strawberry float for that.

I see they've done nothing to fix the schizophrenic AI leaders. Friendly one turn, declaring war the next, offering up loads in exchange for peace ten turns later, then declaring war again after another five turns.

strawberry float off, Cleopatra. :x

So I have decided to jump back into this again as its been too long - almost a year since I last played And I am sure that was only a short 5 mins :<

Still disappointed with some of the AI stuff but hopefully that will continue to get addressed.

However...

decided to add on a R.E.D Mod that make the unit sizes smaller :toot: happy days!

Also managed to find a decent map script that makes the play through a little more enjoyable as you are not squashed up right beside an AI and the Map seems to be laid out in a more realistic fashion.

Lets play on a giant map, I will reduce the number of NCPs to 4 as I don't want to wait an age for all the turns to end.

3 turns in

You have met Isabella

:?

Why they don't strawberry floating fix it so you are spread out I have no strawberry floating idea.

I stopped playing it for that reason.

Anyone still playing? The latest update is pretty good. I've not utilised religious units but the mere fact they no longer block regular units is a welcome improvement.

The AI seems a bit less dumb. The diplomacy screen has been broken up and is much clearer for it.

Not really sure why they've added motion blur to leaders' animations. It does not look good.

I'm still playing and enjoying it, each update has definitely been an improvement.

I play a lot of Civ 5 BNW too (multiplayer with friends who have shite machines that can't handle 6) and there are still some elements of 5 that are better but I've always felt 6 has the potential to be the best one.

I played some this last weekend, saw some of the changes, but since I installed a few mods some months ago, and can't remember what they did, I can't say which of the things are mods and which are actual update features.

I just want a decent map editor to create true to life ancient Earth maps, and for someone to replace modern animals and plants with flora and fauna to match. :x

Has anybody bought any of the DLC? Worth it?
