A good, sometimes excellent, game designer who started to believe his own hype.

It's a shame because he does know how to make good games, but they were often overshadowed by his own lack of hubris.

It's one of the worst mistakes a designer can make. He's not the first and he won't be the last.

John Romero did exactly the same thing with Daikatana.
