Club Nintendo Rewards - What have you had?

Seeing as this is about to come to an end, I thought a look back over the years with people posting what they've had out of the scheme might be of some interest. Are there things you've regretted? What's the best thing you've had out of it?

...and I think that's everything, doesn't help that the page with this information is a mess (there's a bunch of free stuff on there I haven't included). I'd have to say in hindsight spending 4000 stars on Mario Power Tennis wasn't the best idea and I although its nice I kind of wish I hadn't blown 2500 on the Light Grey Power-Up Pouch earlier this year.

As it stands I actually do have just over 2000 stars left, I'm looking at getting some games to register (they are still out there) to get a set of Fire Flower coasters and I think that will be it.

Its been an up and down ride over the years, but there's actually been quite a lot of cool stuff available that's never been released anywhere else. I might try and find some pictures of my stuff to add to the post.

EDIT - Can't seem to find my Perfect Dark CD and Mario Power Tennis isn't anything special, but here are the rest...

I wouldn't have thought it was possible to get that many stars. I think I've had a total of somewhere between 10-15k and that's from 10 years of pretty dedicated Nintendo gaming.

Yeah just don't work out how much I must have spent on the games to get those stars...I don't want to think about it.

Well some rough crap maths suggest there's about 45k stars there, divide that by 250 stars per game and you get 180 games. I guess several of those are for consoles (500 stars), maybe 10 so take away 20 of those and turn them into consoles which leaves 160 games and 10 consoles.

Average of £25 per game x 160 is £4000
Average of £200 per console x 10 is £2000

So that's £6000 worth of Nintendo memorabilia. And that's probably an over estimate as you get stars for all kinds of crap and I imagine a lot of games weren't bought at anything like full price.

Not as much as I thought to be honest.

However it does mean you've completed that bloody survey over 100 times :dread:

Thinking about it there's quite a lot of digital games on there as well. I hope whatever they replace it with either gets rid of or fixes the surveys.

Anyway, over to someone else to post their rewards.

The only thing I ever bought was the original Nintendo DS with Metroid Prime:First Hunt. I think it was £130+stars but it came out before the retail release.

Luigi's Mansion 2 Diorama - 7000 Stars
MK7 Leaf Trophy - 5000 Stars
Goodbye Coin - 2000 Stars

And I think I lost about 5000 points due to expiry.

Most of my point balance expired and a lot of my 3DS games I couldn't even redeem

I got a few download games on the 3DS as a couple of GameCube games I think.

The website was total gooseberry fool which made it an effort just to log in and redeem codes.

It was a good idea, but poorly executed.

I wonder what they even do with the survey results?

I lost most of my points due to expiry but I managed to get

I really like the Power-Up Pouches; they're ace for storing DS and 3DS machines. I managed to get an order in for the coin; I'm hoping it arrives okay and that I can stand it with my Luigi 30th coin :toot:

Unfortunately not, it's just his signature printed on the poster (Mario drawn by Miyamoto).

I did redeem some Wii Points that it doesn't track, but the SNES Classic Controller and the DS VIP Pak are the highlights of my selection. Although the hand towel was pretty useful! :slol:

Pretty sure I used every single one of my stars to purchase points to buy stuff on Virtual Console. But I'll check that Treasures page later and confirm.

Only had 850 points left so had to buy alley way this morning :dread:

Yeah I've just redeemed them for Nintendo points every time, which doesn't show up in the Treasures section.
