I reckon it's refreshing honesty, tbh.

I love the mix of PSone and Minis on PSP. Half Brick have made four excellent time sinks

It's good news that they've finally moved away from simply trying to make PS2 games work on a handheld.

I doubt it will be OLED, aren't they horrendous under sunlight?

Not too sure to be frank. I was in the Apple store the other week and I saw a 27" OLED and nearly creamed my pants

Personally more power would be amazing, but will they get games out quickly and will we still have these quirky games?

I don't think Sony can rely on PS3 in the pocket. The PSP mini's will be what pushes the console. If it's anything like the App store, throw games out there for 59p and watch the money pile up*

*slight exaggeration

Are you sure as as far as I know the only OLED on sale at the moment is the XEL-1 from Sony and that's only 11 inches.

Apologises, you are right. Still, the monitor I saw was gorgeous, got me thinking how good will be OLED

Nintendo and cutting edge technology don't exactly go hand in hand!

I do expect it to be innovative and different from the current DS, and hope they get the design right first time round!

See, saying things like that makes me want E3 to hurry up.

Do you think I could freeze myself?

People need to calm down with the hype. You're only setting yourselves up for disappointment.

Think of it logically for a second... do you really think Nintendo would release a handheld console, that is more powerful than the home console they are supporting currently?

Cutting edge isn't needed in a handheld. Time and time again, this has been proven, and yet hardware manufacturers keep doing it. :fp:

For the record, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the original DS design. Ugly, perhaps, but totally functional. That's why I still have mine.

Motion controls in a handheld will be the next "revolution", it will be barely more powerful.

What's the big deal with OLED? It's gooseberry fool!

LED backlit LCD FTW!

Only reason I'm keeping hold of my PSP is Valkyria Chronicles 2. That, and shit-hot GBA emulation action.

How do you know it's gooseberry fool when it's only ever been released in test quantities?
OLED TV's will start to appear maybe next year and we are only at the start.

Isn't the battery drain significantly lower on OLED's than a traditional backlit lcd? They should also be significantly cheaper and easier to make once mass production begins.

I see no honesty. I see bawling because the mediocre F1 game that they just pushed out didn't sell as much as they wanted. The only system easier to develop for than the PSP is probably the Wii. Even ignoring the PSP's simple architecture, I find it staggeringly hard to believe that developers waited 6 years into the PSPs life cycle to start complaining about any difficulties in the development process.

And if they are talking about the process for getting digital content on the system, you can figure out what to do in five minutes if you go to the Sony website.
