One of my favourite recent ongoings was Venom, which ended very abruptly just as the creators were developing a brand new character and had placed venom in a new location.

I think minis when well regarded do well in trades as the stories can often be seen as evergreen compared to an ongoing (how many times in bargain bins/shelves have you seen the fourth trade of an ongoing that isn't gonna sell any time soon). But if you look at minis vs ongoings they usually sell worse in mainstream Marvel/DC.

Comixology have a sale on Turtles comics.

I tried getting into these a while ago, but gave up due to how hard it was to figure it all out. I just want to try the original stuff, but the descriptions are never helpful and makes me unsure if they're origin stories, or the actual original comics.

TMNT: Black and White Classics are the original run?

Sadly not. It dipped back into side-story territory while Uncanny reasserted itself, and managed to be both dull and hard to follow. The art was really weird too.

Whedon's run is pretty much its own self-contained thing.

The next arc is Ghost Box written by Warren Ellis. It was ok. There hasn't been anything as good as Whedon's run since on a main X-book.

Sorry folks, Diamond UK has just told British retailers that Batman #31, Red Lanterns #31 and Justice League Dark #31, all scheduled for this week… will be delayed for a week. They cited problems at the printers.

Ms Marvel #4
Deadly Class #5

Gonna take a look at:
Trees #1
C.O.W.L. #1

I can't even be bothered to pirate Inhuman when it's already so irregular

Superhero Line Up For Marvel’s AXIS Confirmed – Storm, Thor, Iron Man, Cage, Deadpool And Medusa
Image

Taken on the NYC Subway, a poster for the upcoming Special Edition NYC Comic Convention, a show focussing on comics and used to promote the larger NYCC later in the year, and an opportunity for Marvel Comics to establish themselves very much as a New York publisher – and one that is staying here. Most of them.

But it also appears to show the other side to Marvel’s AXIS cover by Jim Cheung showing us all the heroes who will be diametrically opposing Green Goblin, Loki, Red Skull, Doctor Doom and Carnage, originally scooped by Bleeding Cool last week.

We caught some of them in a reflection before, but here’s the full official line up. Storm, Thor, Iron Man, Cage, Deadpool and Medusa.

Remender writing Deadpool again :datass:

He might be hunting for food. I can't recall him using a bow yet in this story.

Trees is interesting enough as a premise but it's nowhere near as good as Moon Knight, shame it looks like we're going to see Ellis write the former book for longer
