It does irk me somewhat that Marvel is releasing so much information about this book before the first issue is even out. Going from the interviews I would guess:

Avengers attempt to stop Red Skull and fail.
Skull is murdered/rendered inert by Mags or Scott.
In his dying breath Skull psychically inverts everyone's personalities for the lolz.
The finale is a team of former villains trying to stop the heroes and return more or less to the status quo, Forever Evil style.

Though I'm actually on holiday for most of the week. Decided to keep buying Batman until Snyder and Capullo leave.

They're signed up to #50 at least but I would be surprised if they go much longer than that. 50 issues is a long run nowadays, Bendis and his fourteen years on USM is a definite outlier.

I know, I just don't want it to end. I can see Capullo going first and Snyder maybe having another 20 or so issues. Maybe. Depends what DC (or marvel) offer him.

I read an interview with him on CBR the other day from SDCC and he talked about how he wants to other DC characters, he said he's already got a fleshed out idea for Wonder Woman

Yeah noticed that. Sabretooth taking over as Wolverine was obvious regardless of the AXIS stuff.

So Deadpool is the new Doom? Or just ruler of Latveria? Cage is duno what. Stark is just back to being an alcoholic dick. No idea what Hobglobin is becoming either.

That looks more like an Iron Fist-esque get up that DP's sporting than Doom's gear. Hopefully the Hobgoblin is Phil Urich and not Kingsley, and they're going to capitalise on the Hobgoblin vs. Hobgoblin thing they did a couple of years ago by returning his alignment to good and undoing the raping that the character has had since the glory days of the Green Goblin mini-series.

I can't see these changes being anything like permanent if Deadpool is heavily involved - his character makes too much money and is too popular to significantly mess with at this time.

Bruce dating Barbara was DCAU canon unfortunately. I hated it at the time too.

That misstep I can sort of take - dicking over his ward and then the idea that Babs is happy to be banging both at the same time - hardly a great character representation.
