AXEL-IN-CHARGE

Finally, klinton has a question about the comic book version of one of the additions to the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" cast of characters: "Now that 'Avengers A.I.' has come to an end, I'm curious as to where our boy Vision is going to hang his cape in the near future. Are there plans to add him to the cast of another book?"

Alonso: Look for Vision in the upcoming event, "AXIS."

Read both Nailbiter and Woods number 1's as both got really good reviews. Woods dialogue and exposition was pretty awful, I might give it another issue, but I'm likely to sell the issue on Ebay. Nailbiter was better, but again not necessarily a classic in the making. That I'll certainly give q couple more issues to see where it goes.

I agree with that, I decided not to buy either of those two after I read Shutter which was more interesting to me and had a better first issue. The trouble with a lot of these new creator-owned series is that they often appear to offer little beyond their basic high concept idea.

DC Comics Cancels Birds Of Prey, Batwing And All-Star Western, Makes Harley Quinn Twice-Monthly

Wouldn't be shocked if Birds of Prey gets a new #1 like Suicide Squad.

Is that Cassaday's art? Disaster waiting to happen having him on an event book if so.

Jim Cheung apparently. Marvel aren't going to make that mistake with Cassaday again.

I hope :dread:

DC Comics FULL AUGUST 2014 SOLICITATIONS

Quite a few final issues there, although bizarrely not world's finest despite it's solicitation saying it is its final issue apparently that was a mistake

THE MULTIVERSITY :datass: :datass:

Scalera doing an issue of Batman :datass: :datass: :datass:

How is that Birds of Prey run? I really liked Simone's earlier run, but I haven't really heard too many people praising this new one. Not heard anyone bashing it either though.

I think general opinion was mediocre.

What??!! No!
I've just started watching this on Netflix. It's brilliant.

I have all of Volume 1&2 of Birds of Prey, but even Simone's Volume 3 pre New-52 was poor (more then 3 artists in one issue didn't help). This current run started off with some decent buzz, but quickly got forgotten from what I can tell. These sort of less-used team books can often go this way at both DC and Marvel. I can't imagine Birds of Prey will remain cancelled for very long - it's one of those titles, similar to Teen Titans that they always want to get going.

Oh and I still really hate the Harley costume that's used in Suicide Squad. Her own title's costume (Derby girl) less so, but the Arkham-esque costume really is strawberry floating terrible.

Waid is off Hulk and Gerry Duggan is taking over starting from issue 5, Bagley still on art. He's got a quite a few marvel books now. Why they didn't do that with the All New NOW reboot I don't know. Duggan's story does sound really interesting though.

Looks like the marvel august solicitations are slowly creeping out. Original Sin ones are out and Bleeding Cool seems to think this is Xavier?

Its not Catwoman bad but its very skippable.
It suffers due to the lack of Oracle in the New 52. It just flows from one set of unfortunate events to another but doesn't really build up a great dynamic in the group. Black Canary is far too weak a character, Starling was awful and Condor is a complete lemon.
