BleedingCool thinks Kieron Gillen's new book is Angela, co-written by Marguerite Bennett. Gillen did have that sizeable Journey into Mystery run so you never know.

Thor news- The new wielder of Mjolnir is a woman (presumably Angela) who will be using the name Thor. Old Thor will still be around and using Jarnbjorn.

So Thunderbolts and Hawkeye's final issues are in October. Other notable absentees from the solicitations:

Iron Fist, Iron Man, Silver Surfer and Savage Wolverine.

Savage Wolverine is probs cancelled cus he'll be dead. I'd laugh so much if Silver Surfer is cancelled already :lol:

If I started my reading of comics at this 'new avengers' thing I saw in the newsagents today, would I be able to get up to speed fairly quickly, or would I need the x-men vs avengers background?

You can skip AvX, it wasn't very good any way. The only things you need to know from it to read Hickman's New Avengers are that Namor flooded Wakanda while possessed and Cyclops killed Xavier.

So Black Captain America, Female Thor and soon Iron Man won't have an ongoing and big stuff is billed for him in AXIS.

Thing is surely it's all obviously gona be reset come march/april next year in time for Avengers 2?

In more big news apparently Rupert Murdoch is trying to buy Time Warner as well. Potentially that would give Fox the film rights for X-Men, Fantastic Four and the Justice League.
