GRcade Secret Santa 2008
It's the wonderful time of year again (well nearly, but it's sign up time!) - Secret Santa time!
For those that don't know - Secret Santa is a holiday game in which members of the forum who sign are randomly given other particiopants to whom they anonymously give a gift. You also receive a gift from your anonymous "Secret Santa".
The Rules
1) If you sign up please PM me your name (real name) and address. This will be sent out to one random forumite! When you sign up you may also given the name of a couple of people you really don't want to buy for (e.g. if you hate them/think they're a grinch/they're your borther/they're your housemate etc). You may not select who you buy for.
2) Beyond the names of forum "don't buy fors", the Secret Santas will be assigned randomly. Just because you're buying for X, doesn't mean X is buying for you. (And if that scenario occurs I will alter it - random or not, exchanges like that are dull)
3) If you sign up you're in. You can drop out any time until the end of November. After that I'll be a grumpus if you do (it really mucks up the list)
4) You can spend as much, or as little on your present as you like. You can get more than one gift. But the minimum gift cost is £10 (including postage) - I obviously don't want to see receipts, but it's just to stop some cheap bastard getting a PS2 from their SS, and getting something cheap for their gift for someone/
5) Don't open your present before Christmas Day.
6) If you get your target, and you have no idea what to give them - look at their post history. It's meant to be fun trying to work out what they'd like. If you still have no diea please ask me and I'll gently prod them to post a bit about themselves in the thread.
7) To sign up you must have been here 4 weeks or have 500+ posts. I reserve the right to exclude anyone I think is a "joke" account applicant.
8) If you are sending your present and the packaging is not to be opened (e.g. it's not gift wrapped inside it's postal box) tell me, and I will tell your SS not to open.
9) If you are sending an adult present ("hahaha I sent him a dildo...hilarious!"), please tell me so I can warn people. Some people (in previous years) have opened presents in front of family, and then regretted it.
Deadlines [b]CHANGED[/b]
1) Sign ups close 24th November.
2) Your Secret Santa target will be sent to you by November 29th
3) You must have sent your present by the 19th December. It's the last day that Royal Mail will say things will get there before the 25th
4) 25th - You can open your present (and not before)
