How exactly can they get lost behind your eye? I've heard this happen quite often but it's never happened to me and it sounds horrible.

It's not dangerous, but it is irritating. Feels 'uncomfortable' rather than painful. Worst I have had is half hour or so. If you are getting it for that long Curls, defo talk to optician as it shouldn't take that long to work them out.
