Well it didn't take too long for multiplayer to get modded into ETS2 so I think even if it's missing you needn't worry. The impression I get of SCS though is that they take notice of what the community wants, so I'd be surprised if there was no 'official' multiplayer from day 1.

Quite excited for this, anyway. ETS2 is bloody brilliant, more of the same definitely won't go amiss.

Put me down in the interested column, I played ETS2 just to see what it was like and ended up plowing hours and hours into it. Cant wait to do a massive trek across the US.

Was ETS2 a big step up from ETS? I don't think ETS2 was OSX compatible until recently, so I ended up playing the first game when ETS2 was getting a load of buzz and wasn't too impressed.

A strawberry floating HUGE step up. The kind of step up console gamers would call a generational leap.

Indeed. I never played the first one myself but from what I've gleaned from Reddit etc. it was worlds apart from ETS2.

Is the game world a 1:1 replica of the entire USA?

I doubt it. It would be extremely boring if it wasn't condensed down.

That is the essence of trucking - long days and nights on the road.

The excitement comes when you make a stop to pick up meth.

ETS2 still has that freedom without being ridiculous though.

Or to piss by the side of the road.

More excitement comes as you fight strong winds in a sleepy haze trucking across the plains states, tackle ice and snow while hopped up on meth in Alaska, and avoid being ambushed and sodomized by hillbillies while enduring the pains of needing to taking a huge dump in the Deep South.

I don't blame you for judging it. I did. But then I played it. It is a perfect chill out game ( until you jack knife your load on some bullshit turn).

Remember when I was a kid and had Microsoft Flight Sim, once the plane was in the air I would go for tea, i'd come back just in time to land it
