Is there anyway to salvage data from a corrupt GC memory card? My friend and I were playing through skies of arcadia and the thing just broke. How lame. It keeps asking to format it which would erase all of the data anyway.

Must be a way of downloading a similar save state off the internet and loading it on to it via the Wii?

keep blowing it and keep taking it out and putting it in until it works, then copy onto another memory card. The format when you have cleaned it out if possible.

Is the OP in the past or something?

Gushy says you have a 23% chance that fixing the memory card is why you're here.

I don't think so, my worst gaming tragedy comes from a gamecube memmory card failure.

All the resi games on one card, all 100% complete, all lost like tears in the rain.

Is it an official memory card?

I used to have this unofficial GC memory card that would let you actually back up your saves to the PC, but it was lost over the years and I've never been able to locate another one.

Honestly, some days I wonder if I imagined owning that or something.

I seem to recall it was made by Datel.

The same thing happened to me, except it was 49 platinum awards in Timesplitters 2.

I lost a complete Weapon Master mode in soul caliber 2. My mate spilt beer on an official memory card 251. I don't think I ever reformatted the card or anything, just that save file doesn't do anything.
