Nero or Starbucks are the coffees I prefer. I do like Tim Hortons doughnuts though. Gregg's is surprisingly excellent for coffee , bacon baguette and an orange juice for £5.

It’s either Caffè Nero or McDonald’s for me if I’m getting coffee to go, but I hardly use them at all any more since I got my espresso machine.

McDonald’s isn’t outstanding but it really is unbeatable value.

I don't drink coffee, but out of the places available near me that I've used Costa has the best hot chocolate. Not used it for ages though.

I loved their salted caramel one they did for Christmas one year.

I've only ever use Gail's once, but i have also had tea in a chain called Paul, along with Joe & The Juice.

Mind you, i don't drink coffee at all, can't stand the stuff, i only ever have tea.

Timmy Ho's (although the North American version is superior still).

I'll usually try independent places if I'm near one, but otherwise Costa is my preferred choice of chain cafes. Not really sure why, but I'm sure I read somewhere that their coffees are stronger.

Never even heard of Tim Horton's - was assuming that was a joke option!

It's a Canadian chain. Not sure how many outlets they have here, but I've been to the Birmingham one, and they're good for some insanely sugary donuts/muffins/pastries to go with your coffee if that's what you're after.

It only just opened close enough to me in Bromley, and I was stunned to see that high street was deemed Gailsworthy. But I’ll take it!

I'd rather go to Krispy Kreme (if it's even still there!).

I still think of Bromley as being pretty upmarket; a (mainly) lovely area with expensive housing. I used to do my Christmas shopping there years ago, before Bluewater opened. I had heard that the shopping area has - like nearly all high streets! - deteriorated a bit in past years, though?

I will say that Costa is awful. I normally use a cafetier at home.
