TWA: You are already on regular mode, there are two harder difficulty levels in the demo. Not sure how low to set the bar ;-)

Jawa: I prefer playing with qaop keys actually.

Cyburn2: it should work with pads now. I've been using an Xbox one pad, we had 360 controllers at some expos this weekend too.

So, yeah we are now in the slow march of a kickstarter. Usually you'll get a rush near the end too, but let's see if we can get over the line early. Then any extra funds would trigger stretch goals for new levels, modes etc

I'm screwed then. My scores are going lower now. Things feel to random for me as well. Sometimes this power up appears. Sometimes its the useless red thing. Sometimes the colourful alien spawns. Sometimes it minor extra points which by the time I've got I might as well have ignored. I like it. I just don't really "get" it.

We were at Leeds this Saturday just gone. I wasn't aware of another event this Saturday - but then Huey games do shoot around all over the place. Which event is it?

Just checked and it was the 18th :( oh well maybe next time.

Will it be at the gaming expo in Birmingham later in the year ?

Hey, that's fine. It may just be the type of game that doesn't totally click with you.

There are 3 kinds of "power up"

1) The colourful alien is not really a power-up, it's more like the special invader that appears every now and again on the original Space Invaders arcade. The music fades and a special sound kicks in when one comes on screen - these give big score bonuses.

2) Pills that are dropped after shoot targets. These appear a brief moment after you shoot a target. There is a design reason for this...if the pill appeared immediately, due to the speed of the game, you'd end up running over it without knowing. So the idea is that we have a brief pause that causes you to have to flip over and pick it up. If your health is low, an energy refill or invincible type is more likely to be dropped.

3) Powerdroids - these are the ones that give you a brief weapon upgrade. There are 3 in the demo, but more in the final game (one that drops a stream of mines, a plasma beam one etc)

Yeah, we'll almost certainly be at all the main gaming expos, possibly some in the US too.

I know it's built. I think there is question mark about the store. I'll ask the question again now for you.

Huey got back to me....there were some last minute tweaks to the touch controls for some of the menus, and there is still discussion about how best to send the demo out:

"Google play store makes most sense but we will have to publish as separate title"

It is still planned to release the demo on Android during the campaign, I just don't have an exact date. I'll keep you posted when I know and hopefully you'll be able to try the demo and see if it is the sort of thing you like.

Apologies again for the delay.

Thanks for keeping us updated if they need people to test on Android and provided feedback I'm sure we will be happy to assist :)

It's Friday and Hyper Sentinel is feeling good! The Kickstarter has just roared past the £14k mark :D . There is still a way to go - a final £1k is required for the project to go ahead - but it is positive at the moment.

Have you tried out the free demo yet? Perhaps this weekend could be an ideal opportunity to download it onto your PC or Mac and give it a go :toot: .

> View the mini trailer - multi-coloured, dynamic pixels wil flex your eyes!
> Check out the Kickstarter - the goal is to deliver the game for iOS, Android, PC, Mac, PS4, XBO and Commodore 64*!
> Download the FREE demo for PC or Mac - try and beat mhtl and TWA's scores!

* Well... not the '64. But we can imagine it :datass: .

Topped my score and got 51,738 - so I'm Rank 20.

Good to see it's less than £1,000 til it reaches it's goal.
