Depends on your preferences really. The camera etc. only have a small novelty value, so they're not worth it, so it depends on whether you would want GBA games and a cheaper machine or whether you want DSiware and a slightly larger screen. I prefer the shiny lite look, but, rersonally, I think DSiware justifies the cost, there will be others who disagree.
DSiware mainly has puzzle games (Art Style in particular), so if you enjoy puzzles, you would probably be better off with the DSi, otherwise, go with the lite.I think you can, but only one person gets to choose their character (others get Shy Guys), or something like that .
