Crash Bandicoot is great!

It is not easy on some levels, but at least I'm a lot further than I did with the original. I am sure I didn't manage to reach the second island in twenty years ago and now I've reached the third island. Thanks to a new system of saving and checkpoint!

I haven't touched Crash 2 or Crash 3 yet as I want to finish the first one before I move onto the next one.

It looks fantastic as well!

Crash 1 is SO much harder than the other two.

Kinda convinced there's some hit detection/collison issues though too. I keep landing a jump and then Crash seems to slide off the edge of the ledge he's landed on. It's hard to explain it, he takes the animation like he's landed the jump, but as soon as you move he falls off.

Managed to conquer "the high road" only to reach another nightmare from the past : Slippery Climb.

The High Road strawberry floated me over with my lives. I had like 35 lives and it went down to 2 lives left before I completed the level! :dread:

Now, Slippery Climb is the next one.

I'm guessing this did extremely well this weekend because it's sold out everywhere or had its price doubled.

Managed to get the green & red gem today. Found it easier with the dpad.

They should of put a coloured gem on The high road.

I've defeated Dr Neo Cortex (Crash 1)! I'm well chuffed cos twenty years ago I never managed to finish it (never reach the second island) or beat the final boss. Now, I will try to collect all gems if I can but it will be tough. :)

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy biggest single-platform launch of the year

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy has launched in the UK to incredible sales.

Launched exclusively for PlayStation 4, it is the biggest single-platform release of the year so far - beating even Horizon: Zero Dawn.

For 2017 to date, Crash is the year's second biggest launch overall - behind multiplatform release Ghost Recon Wildlands.

It's an incredible result for the trilogy re-make - and the first time in Crash's history the character has ever won a UK number one.Other games this week look like minnows in comparison - Micro Machines: World Series was new in second, while the physical release of Elite Dangerous for PS4 and Xbox One entered in seventh.

Outside the top 10, The Golf Club 2 launched in 27th, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered showed up in 32nd, while Valkyria Revolution arrived in 34th.

Modern Warfare Remastered launching so low down the chart is a surprise, although it will likely have sold more through digital sales. UK numbers company Chart-Track counts physical (boxed) sales only.

Here's the top 10 in full:

Crash Trilogy
Micro Machines
GTA5
Forza Horizon 3
FIFA 17
Overwatch
Elite Dangerous
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Dirt 4
Rocket League

Crash Bandicoot number one
Micro Machines number two

People really do miss the 90s.

Expect developers and publishers to start raiding their back catalogues after this. Both Wipeout and Crash have now done huge sales.

Resident Evil 2 should do extremely well in 2018. Expect Crash Team Racing and Spyro the Dragon now too. Maybe EA will be sitting there thinking 'We should remaster Croc...'. Hell, lets bring back the Gecko.

I'm sure they would do WWF No Mercy if they could sort the licensing out, which is no doubt an issue for quite a few games. Crash was easy by comparison.

I'd be cool with a return of Spyro.
