I was just browsing NES stuff on Ebay to while away a few minutes on a Sunday evening and noticed this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nintendo-NES-Cast ... fresh=true

$46 for Castlevania 3 NES. Yours for 500 points (~£3.50) on the Virtual Console.

Post your other crazy retro ebay prices here.

NES games tend to go for around the £5 mark as just carts, but it needs to be noted that that isn't just the cartridge, it's in bloody good nick, with all the original packaging. There are some serious Castlevania collectors out there who might well pay that.

Dammit, sold skies to someone on here who insisted it wasn't worth more than £25!!

I have Tales and Metal Gear though, they're not going anywhere.

I only bought Tales and Skies last year. I think they cost me around £35 each.

Worth it though.

I bought most of those GC games at launch - Skies cost me £30, MGS was in a two for £30 offer at Gamestation, and Herbi sold me Fire Emblem and Tales for £20 a pop.

I also managed to find Chibi Robo for £30 and Super Mario Baseball for the same amount (I think there are only about 3,000 copies in the UK).

But the GBC Metal Gear... I could have bought it in a French hypermarket in June, 2000. I had just got a GBC to go on that holiday and this was just before the return ferry crossing. I had loads of spending money left, but seeing as it was my first school trip abroad without my parents, I thought I would be Mr Responsible and save it just in case.

A bid for that Metal Gear Solid GBC game ended at £5.50 today.

...I put a maximum of £5 on it :fp:

I'm gonna have to dig out my copy of Skies and sell it for a tidy profit, played it for about an hour and just couldn't get into it at all.
