PostCredit reference help
by Glowy69 » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:53 pm

Guys a little help. It's been 6 years since my IVA ended. I've checked all the websites. CAB, my IVA website. Money saving forums. And it should drop off my record after 6 years. Well it's been over 6 years and it's still on there.

I spoke to noddle. And they said my credit report only refreshes every month and being as it finished right when they refreshed it (29th may 2011) it might not show yet.

My question is, do experian and equifax show anything remotely anymore real time? Or do I have to wait till the end of the month? Because I'm more interested in getting the clean slate I've been after for 6 years and I'm impatient :shifty:

Thanks for any help in advance.

Bear in mind IVA's etc won't 'drop off' until 6 years after the last payment was registered. So if your IVA lasted 5 years, you'd add a further 6 years on top of that for it to be off your credit file. So if your IVA finished on the 29th May 2011 don't expect it to drop off until 29th May 2017 I'm afraid.

Companies submit different credit data to each major credit company (Equifax, Experian and CallCredit) on a monthly basis (dates only known to each credit-providing company). When each reference agency updates your file with that info is up to that agency (annoyingly).

Nah mate. It's 6 years from the start date. I checked the people I did it with. And I've spoken to noddle who have indeed confirmed its gone but asnt refreshed yet.

Like bankruptcy it stays on your file from 6 years from start date.

It says there Andrew

Ah, well that's good. Defaults/Settled Defaults and CCJ's must be the ones that stick for 6 years after being satisfied. Glad to hear it's due to come off. Time for a clean slate :D
