I just hate it when people try to make out Messi is some sort of Saint. He behaves similar to Ronaldo, just less vocal about it.

You are right about Messi not being a saint, you don't become one of the best players in the world without being egotistical. Pretty much everything is through him, and because of him. Of course he will have a bit of an attitude. Posting those fake 'quotes' is utter guff though, mate.

Messi (and Barcelona) are definitely more likable than Ronaldo. Let's keep this about their work on the pitch.

Just thought I'd add I never said Messi was a saint but we are comparing him against Ronaldo.

And I think everyone will agre Ronaldo is more of a dick (on the pitch) than Messi.

I don't think they'd be a comparison were it not for Ronaldo's goal scoring rate, all the best players have been number 10s and playmakers, Ronaldo doesn't have the touch and vision and ability to dictate play, he's purely mentioned because goals means absolute effectiveness. His development into goal scoring machine coincided with 4-3-3 becoming the most used formation did it not, so he could be more than just a winger. Dunno why people always mention 'he scores headers' too, like yeah he has pure athleticism on his side, but in terms of pure football, there are many better. Iniesta for instance is God.
