I was reading Geddy Lee's Wiki page. His parents have a beautiful, but tragic, story. Devastating that after all that, his dad died so young.

Lee was born Gary Lee Weinrib on July 29, 1953, in the North York neighbourhood of Willowdale, Toronto, to Morris Weinrib (born Moshe Meir Weinrib; 1920–1965), from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, and Mary "Manya" Rubinstein (born Malka Rubinstein; 1925–2021), who was born in Warsaw and later grew up in Wierzbnik.

His parents were Jewish Holocaust survivors from Poland who had survived the ghetto in Starachowice (where they met), followed by their imprisonments at Auschwitz and later Dachau and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps during the Holocaust and World War II.

They were in their teens when they were initially imprisoned at Auschwitz. "It was kind of surreal pre-teen gooseberry fool", says Lee, describing how his father bribed guards to bring his mother shoes. After a period, his mother was transferred to Bergen-Belsen and his father to Dachau.

When the war ended four years later, and the Allies liberated the camps, Morris set out in search of Manya and found her at a Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp. They married there and eventually emigrated to Canada.

Seriously reminds me of Orbital - Halcyon and on and on, also slight The Knife vibes.

Speaking of which

It still sounds just as incredible 31 years on.

One day, we will be reunited.
But until then, my spirit will always be with you.
Go in peace my brother

Surprise fact: their guitarist at that time was Paul Miro, who went on to lead the significantly heavier Apes, Pigs & Spacemen, who had some success in the mid 90s.

That track was included on the Psycho Nation CD that came free with the Mega Drive game Psycho Pinball.

After being slightly underwhelmed by the new Justice album on the first full listen (on speakers) I've subsequently listened again (earbuds) a couple of times and its grown on me.

Its definitely been mixed with headphones in mind but I've since realised my subwoofer wasn't actually powered up during the first listen so I'll give it another try.
