At the risk of sounding like a pretentious ******, it kind of gets me on an emotional level, not sure why.

Man, it's the progression of the song. As Bjork's voice gets all misty and distant under the repetition of "Safe again" towards the end, and the strings break away into those sustained pitches having come from the wirring synths. Amazing track.

New Radiohead tune, it's allright.. wasn't massively blown away by it but it's still good. Looking forward to hearing more!

Seeing as Bjork was recently mentioned here.

Björk and Omar Souleyman project in the works. Interesting or hyped up hipster pitchfork garbage stunt? Let's wait and see.

 I strawberry floating love Omar Souleyman

BTW what is your issue with Hipsters and Pitchfork? Pitchfork might not be perfect but I find it great for reviews.

I'm afraid everyone will love it just because two unusual artists are doing a joint thing.

Never answered my question. You seem to have issue with Hipsters and Pitchfork. Just don't get it. Too fat for skinny jeans?

Whats wrong with liking something by two unusual artists? Bjork and Souleyman are f'ing fantastic individually and surely a collaboration will just mean more ideas. Ideas are important in any art form.

TBF I never read Pitchfork. I was just pulling a Staydead and wasn't really serious about pf and hipsters.

I'm not saying it's wrong to like two unusual artists, I'm just saying many people will like it only because liking Syrian and Icelandic pop artists is cool.
Let's just wait and see.

I don't think anyone could say Syrian or Icelandic pop music is cool. Souleyman and Bjork have developed a following because they make good music. Besides Souleyman I don't think I could name any other Syrian popstars.

Give Pitchfork ago. Covers a wide range of music and is good to find out about new releases. No prerequisite to wear skinny jeans either

Never Let Me Down
Kanye West
The College Dropout

Can't stop listening to this song. Or the album in fact, fast becoming one of my favourites ever. <3

I'm on a serious Kanye thing at the mo'. Not listening to much else today; I know people can't stand Kanye's arrogance, and I slated My Dark Twisted Fantasy for it prima facie, but he comes up with some amazing slap downs on people when he's loving himself on a track.

Just got this. I'm listening to it right now.

It's real good so far. I think I recognize the album cover from one of Kmzr's posts in the onmix music thread, and have decided that any hip hop he recommends is gonna be good enough to check out instantly.
