Just got back to my tent at Sonisphere after seeing Bat Sabbath (Cancer Bats playing Black Sabbath songs). Was strawberry floating awesome!

Bill Bailey, Weezer and Metallica are my current top three from the weekend, although that may change in the morning for some added Biffy!

Bright Eyes was fantastic last night, so glad I finally got to see Oberst playing those tunes before he retires them. Road To Joy blew the roof off the place. Unfortunately the crowd was tiny with most people off watching Coldplay or Pendulum, which didn't really surprise me for a festival as poxy as Oxegen.

Pavement is one of those bands that I should have been into years ago but for some reason I never got round to listening to them, so I have been trying to rectify that recently. What I really like about Pavement is their originality

Well I never. I see Pavement fans like to call this level of originality a "Homage" to The Fall. It is like the Eurosong episode of Father Ted.

Steve - "I heard this song on college radio, I'm pretty sure no one else has heard of it. The singer, Marky Smith I think he is called, is probably dead, I mean dude, just look at him, if we just borrow bits of the song no one will know....."

Talking of The Fall, how have I only just found out about this reissue?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marshall-Suite-Fall/dp/B004PHPZC2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310489182&sr=8-1

One of my favourites back in print at last. Hopefully Levitate is next.
