Hmmmm. Not sure we really have the same tastes, but check my post history in this thread. I don't know what you already know and not so here's a brief list of bands I've been listening to recently that have released something recently:
-
Calibro 35 (italian funk/'70es movie soundtrack band)
-
Martyrdöd (Swedish crust band)
-
Alpinist (intense German crust or metal or whatever band)
-
Krallice (black metal)
-
Thantifaxath (black metal. If you like Wolves in the Throne Room you'll like thantifaxath)
-Ree Yees (VERY noisy drum duo that sounds like Lightning Bolt:

-
Bass Drum of Death (excellent garage duo)
-Hella released a new album (
Tripper), it sounds like Hold your Horse Is but I personally don't like it as much, but I still think it's very good and worth a listen. I have an irrational love for anything Zach Hill or Spencer Seim, though...
-And speaking of Spencer Seim, he's involved in some new projects:
Crock (although I think Eat your Heart Out is the only good track on the album) and
Amaranth. These are pretty pop rock so you might like them.
-Secret Chiefs 3 are touring like mad and have released two 7 inches (
click and
click and
click again). The latter two sound like gooseberry fool because they have only been released on vinyl, there's no proper digital version anywhere. Also a new awesome as yet unreleased track called
Tistriya.
-Jungle Brothers released some new unedited master tapes or something from the '90es and they kick ass:

Death Grips-Soul Jazz just put out two nice compilations that I instantly bought based on the samples and did not regret one bit:
Bossa Jazz and
Black Caribs of Belize-Almost forgot, Black Joe Lewis & Honeybears released a new album. I prefer their first one but this one's also good.

But mostly I take my time to listen to all the old stuff I keep discovering.
