Octoroc's knowledge of obscure music for every occasion never ceases to amaze me.

Lamb of God - Sacrament.

I figured it's been ages since I listened to them, and they're still pretty awesome in short doses.

Lots and lots of Arcade Fire. But mainly....

Image

Considering this was a band I didn't give the time of day before, I'm almost giving them too much time now over the rest of my music collection. Maybe it was all the hype around them before (When Neon Bible came out I was working in HMV with some Arcade Fire obsesed nutjobs) but now that's sort of died down, I'm loving discovering them for myself.

'The Funeral' is an astonishing album too....well in fact, all 3 of their outputs are pretty amazing. Right, before I sound like of these obsesed nutjobs I was moaning about I'm keeping shut.

Neon Bible is a bit forgetable and The Suburbs is a bit flabby

Both albums do. They're different but both fantastic albums. I agree with the general opinion that The Subsurbs could have been cut down a bit but I still think it's brilliant.

Took me a few listens to understand it, but I'm now liking Wild Beasts' new album.

How did you manage that?

Here is my "breaking my collar bone" song.

This was more the cause of me breaking it than a song lamenting the fact. A quick lesson was learnt, when stage diving, pay less time thinking about how to avoid hitting your head on the lighting rig and more attention to the density of the crowd you are jumping into. :fp:

Some new Electric Six songs are out. It's that time of year again. :)

Gridlock! sounds very Senor Smoke. Hello! I See You is really catchy. And I Get Hot sounds like E6 doing R&B.
