Still FFVI:A.

I'm just doing a little last minute training (read: grinding) before heading off to Kefka's tower. I might save that for tomorrow after work.
This really is a amazing game. The pinnicle of Final Fantasy games for me.

It's easily the best FF for me (yes even than VII/VIII)

Remind me is the "original" version (beatings, sucides etc in), or the toned down one.

I'm not actually too sure. I've never played the game before, but I remember reading about Celes slapping (or getting slapped by) someone, but I haven't seen anything like that.
As for suicides... do you mean when
Cid tells Celes that everyone jumed off the cliff as they had all lost hope?

That is in, but you dont see anything (did you in the original?).

From memory (it's been a while)

The slapping is when you first meet Celes and she;s being tortured.

The suicide is post Ruin.

I'm on a racing at the moment so most of my gaming time is dedicated to GT5P and Ferrari Challenge for different reasons.

No. That's not in it.
I had a wee read on GameFaqs and SE have toned this version down.

Just finished Braid tonight.

I presume there's some hidden levels to do with the stars, but I've no idea how to find them. It was very clever, but really bloody frustrating and strange. The story books just didn't make any sense, and I stopped reading them early on. The ending was a bit underwhelming too. And she didn't even have braided hair!

Played a few Live games of Cod4 yesterday, it's been a while but it's as great as it ever was, might play some more tonight.

A bit of Ticket to ride and Geo wars 2 on top.

Late to the party I know but I only started single player COD4 on the weekend. Decided to play through on Hardened (achievement purposes) and then maybe when I am better re do some of the easier missions on Veteran. Been impressive so far but I'm not keen on the respawning enemies. Like to clear a field of enemies in games and then move on. With this game, if you never advance to the checkpoints, enemies will simply keep coming. :x

Also bought (at last) Pac Man CE. Heard so many people raving about it, I decided to take the plunge. Struggling with some of the challenge and extra modes but I'm sure I'll crack them with practice.

Played a lot of Beijing 2008 over the weekend too.

Lego Star Wars and WoW. Seem to be stuck in a rut with WoW atm, can't seem to find the patience to level a class above level 10. As soon as I hit it, I lose all interest and start making another class. Hopefully i'll find a class I can enjoy soon, else my sub will run out again

Started Super Mario Galaxy today, god it's beautiful, it's like multi coloured crack. I'm finding the controls a little odd, only 4 stars in though so plenty of time to get used to them.

Playing Guitar Hero 3 on Wii. I got it last week for my birthday (30!!!) and have played it most nights. I have managed to complete it on medium and can do the occasional song on hard but I am really struggling with the 5 buttons.

my wife on the other hand is storming through hard and is about to move onto extreme after the same amount of time! She has been playing piano and trumpet and cello since she was a girl though, and she claims this has helped her left hand coordination, but bloody hell she's good at this.

On co-op career mode I stick to medium and still mess it up while she aces the hard tracks

So, to sum up, I hate this game for making me feel inadequate.

 It's horrible when your partner's better at a game than you are. "But I've been playing for years!" you cry. "How the hell can you be beating me 16-2 on ZooKeeper?"

You just need to get the hang of moving up and down the neck. Try out Hard career alone, and spend a lot of time in practice mode until you've completed a song.

Still playing Final Fantasy XII and The World Ends With You. I like to take my time with my games- I'll guess it'll be a while until I finish either.

Just played the Too Human demo again, in a little more depth. Tried out the other classes (i didn't know there was like a little cheat thing you could do to unlock the other classes). I found out you could craft from blue prints you collected too, which i didn't know about. I made a cool helm :D It's kind of a shame this game isn't coming to PC's, this is the type of game they'd love, i certainly don't believe there would be the same negativity surrounding the release if this was a PC only game.
