Parasite Eve 2. I tried this back when it first came out but got stuck at the desert motel after I saved myself into a corner. I'm taking it very slowly this time and saving after every small bit of progress I make whether it's getting through a battle unscathed or finding a useful item.

I'm not very far in yet but finding the game hard to get into after just finishing the first one as it's a different beast altogether.

I liked how the first game was essentially a JRPG with some mild horror elements but find the formula of the second game a little frustrating, I think it's gone too far down the survival horror path and left behind too much of the RPG stuff.

It's early days yet however as I've only just got back from the Acropolis tower from the start of the game annoyed to find that my acquired in field equipment had to go back to the Police department I had "borrowed" it from.

It's pretty solid, can't decide whether I'd give it 6 or 7. It's something you should probably play for like 40 minutes at a time, as it does start to get a little tiresome (vehicle sections up to its eyes). I like it better than the other game, even it it's missing the emphasis on destruction. You haven't got that boring overworld to navigate which is a plus.

I liked it's linearity - it played very much like Dead Space. Over all, a most enjoyable game, but sadly overlooked by most.

Agreed. It saddens me that THQ have basically decided to retire the franchise. :(

I'm waiting for Dead Space 2 to arrive in the post, so I downloaded Gears of War 2. Seems like a less fun Resistance with Uncharted shooting. I do realise that gears came first but it feels all messed up
now. :?

Still, I'm going to stick with it for another night.

Less fun than resistance? Bloody hell. It must have aged.

Nah, it's just taste, much better game for my tastes.

Definitely better combat than uc too. Maybe it depends which you played first.

I'm one of the few Resistance fans out there. I know I'm in the minority though.

I love sci-fi B movie schlock and shooting games so I'll stick with it, at least until dead space 2 turns up.

I'm in the first underground bit so it's early.

Mgs3.. It does get good once you can play.

I've only played 4 so this is a great package.

I'm nearing the end of Space Marine. Starting to get a bit tired of it, I don't think it mixes things up enough. It's a solid game though, I'd buy a sequel if they improved on this some of the stuff I don't like about it.

MGS 3 is so flawed, yet it's still an amazing game. I love how the game is just packed full of content. I love the storyline, I love it. I'm gay for MGS3. It really strawberry floated me off a lot of the time with how unfair and clunky it is, but it's the best MGS out of all of them.

strawberry float off woofro and your furfag love for the psp game. It's shite.

I would be playing MW3, which I finally got myself today at GAME for £19.95 on disk(s) for PC. Why in the name of all that's holy and good in this world does the game actually have to download itself in it's entirety (14.5GB) off Steam in order to install?

W.T.F...?

What are these two disks I just paid for...erm, for? Shiny beer mats?

Unbe-f*ckin'-lieveable.

There's workout around for that, force Steam to launch it from D: drive or whatever you're using for DVD-ROM. Ask Knoyleo for full details.

MK7 all day today in between drawing practice sessions. Great game  3/8 cups done and 3-starred on 100cc so far.

I reviewed it. I thought some of the RPG elements and the design completely killed the horror, also I haven't played the original.

El Shaddai.

I feel like an idiot for having put this off in favour of playing through Dark Souls a second time. It's incredibly refreshing going from something so wrecklessly punishing and withholding to this, a game forever offering up something new; it's consistently spectacular and just so giving. I don't think I've been offered so many new experiences so regularly and with such spectacle since Resident Evil 4. They're perhaps mostly visual delights rather than defined set-pieces and the like, but still, it's wonderful.

The ending of Chapter 05... Jesus Hell.

And Chapter 06! Magnificent. It makes the Route: 666 level in Bayonetta seem restrained.

I failed one of the Darkness stages and was swallowed up by the vileness. This game just doesn't give a strawberry float about established game structure.

Love it.

Stare directly at the sun. Good for you. Vitamin D.

Bastion. Not too sure on the gameplay yet, but the look of the game and idea of having a narrator are something to like about this.

Skyrim and Super Mario 3D land with a bit of Mario Kart 7. Up to level 15 in Skyrim playing it most of the evening into the very early hours of the morning. Currently in Solitude doing various quests there before continuing on with the main quest. It has not only met my expectations, quite something in itself considering Oblivion is one of my most favourite games, but far surpassed them. Couple this with picking the 3DS up throughout the day I feel like I'm in complete gaming heaven. What a wonderful Christmas this has been, the time of year helping me to feel I deserve to relax and enjoy something, despite all that has been going on.

Ah, and there's been Kinect games too. Had a blast Christmas night getting my family involved with Kinect sports. I didn't realise it takes videos of you playing! We could watch ourselves back looking daft and all had a really good laugh. For the last few days it's just been me trying out everything Your shape 2012 has to offer, cringing at my attemps to play dance central 2 when everyone is out, as well as enjoying Fruit Ninja. Thankgod I ended up having my old 360 spare to have the kinect downstairs (for the required space), whilst keeping my new 360 in my room.

Before Christmas:

Two weeks before Christmas I was playing Super Mario galaxy and luigi's mansion again, having just bought a wii console. The week leading up to Christmas I began Skward Sword  no, wait, it needs a few more    . I must must must go back to this asap, skyrim fever will just have to make room for one more!

Back in November I think now...I completed Lego Harry years 1-4 and have the new one waiting to play in the new year. I completed 3 endings (all bad ones, just my luck) of 999 (lol at how text heavy this game is, and that's coming from someone who plays alot of them). Had a wonderful time playing and finishing Professor Layton and pandora's box, moving on to the lost future and completing that too. I'd been having trouble sleeping but these games helped me relax on an evening. I've got the new one waiting to start, can't wait. Argh, what am I forgetting? A bit of Dirt 3? Suited my need for a rally game and those snow tracks  . Oh, and I completed Uncharted 3 and the second half of it won me over, I like it better than 2. Those ship levels were something special, but then again I do have a thing for ships anyway. Lastly, I know they've come to a bit of a halt now, but I had some more great online games of BF3 too.

Wow, just wow at my time gaming in 2011, even if most of it has been at the end of the year!

Just Dance 3. Bought it especially for the hilarity of playing it tonight at my party.

Jesus it's knackering. :o
