As much as I love it, I also strawberry floating hate it sometimes. That Floor 36 boss can just strawberry float OFF. It'll probably take me ages to finish Persona as I need to take breather after much rage :fp:

That's about 8 hours into game too, and If I remember correctly from uncompleted Persona 3 original playthrough there's much worst to come yet. :( Pretty one of hard RPG game I've played (read not hardest, just hard)...

 Persona 3 is difficult, but I can't wait till you start to play Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2. Make sure you PM me on how difficult that game is. I was tearing out my hair at the start of the game.

Knights of the Old Republic (PC)

I'm quite far into this as I've been playing it for the past 2 weeks. I just left the Leviathan ship; to say that I was surprised at how that ended is an understatement! This game has been amazing since I started playing it. It's incredible as an RPG and a Star Wars game, so much so that I think that a non-Star Wars fan who enjoys RPGs would still love this game. The combat is well executed and makes using Force powers a joy.

I've got Jolee using Force Lightning which made short work of most of the Sith on the Leviathan as he broke out of jail. Just prior to this I was on Manaan with Jolee and Mission and was playing around with Force Choke and Lightning in the Sith base/at the ocean depths My character is heavily towards the Light side of the Force so his best power seems to be the Force Wirlwind ability which is useful for incapacitating a group of enemies at once. I'm looking forward to playing through Korriban and the rest of the game; I still need to head to Yavin as well because it appears on my map even though I know of no reason to actually go there.

Absolutely mental.

The Wii controls make the game so much better its unbelievable, choosing the GC pad over the Wii controller is like choosing to play a PC FPS with a pad instead of mouse and keyboard, its just objectively worse.

Playing with the Wii remote makes the game ridiculously easy, mind. Headshot central.

Aye, good that they reduced the amount of ammo drops to compensate. Even with that, it is far easier than the GC version.

Yeah its in no way a bad game but its just not doing it for me. The combat is just so bland that i really find it hard to get excited about playing it.

I enjoyed it at first but got bored after the main quest.

I like wondering the worlds but now doing the thieves guild and it's take on stealth or doing constant dragon battles has meant I've no compulsion to see more of it myself either.

I like the setting and it looks the part, but just so many things are pissing me off with it. First off, how gloriously pompous and grandiose it all it. THOU ART THINE YE OLDE DRAGONBORNE, with the power to shout peoples heads off. Whoopdy strawberry floating gooseberry fool. Maybe you could ask your court wizard to write a ye olde story that doesnt suck cocks next time bethesda. And all the horribly self indulgent books detailing the folklore of the world. You can tell Bethesda have an absolute strawberry floating hard on for their world and probably consider it Tolkien tier fantasy when its pretty much Krull grade forgettable.
I hate being stopped in my tracks in the middle of a dungeon to solve a spinning block puzzle, or a pull a levers in sequence puzzle. Seriously, strawberry float off with that gooseberry fool. Dark Souls proved you can have incredible level design without the need to throw in a single block spinning puzzle so why the strawberry float and i sitting here spinning blocks in a dwarven dungeon when i could be killing things?? It just takes you out of the action and adds pointless padding.
And speaking of killing things, the combat. Its so inept. Its just a case of who can swing their sword fast enough until the other dies. Theres no skill involved at all. I think ive just been spoiled by Dark Souls in that respect but the combat in this just feels so poor and so limited by comparison.
Its weird i do like the game, but just overall the feeling i get whenever i put it on is that id rather be playing something else.

 Please post that in the relevant skyrim thread.

I mentioned some of those issues and people got mad bumpain. That thread is like the Bioware forums, if you say anything bad, immediate reply with full on aggresssion.

"OMG THIS IS THE SKYRIM THREAD, GO POST SOMEWHERE RELEVANT, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR HOW YOU DON'T LIKE THE GAME, WAAAH, WAAAAH. It doesn't matter what you think, those flaws are positive in my books".

Just so you know, from what I've experienced, it's not even close to being on par with New Vegas. Storyline, dialogue, game world, they've made a bigger oblivion with better graphics, but 9/10 quests are boring as gooseberry fool. And so many that could have been good are just half baked and feel unfinished.

Not liking being called Dragonborn and being at the centre of an earth shattering event is kind of odd considering the game is about a single character who has a destiny to save the world. The problem is not with people who dislike the game it's just that these same people keep popping up and reiterating that over and over again.
If you don't like it simply explain why and leave it at that.

"o but silva keeps going on about it", well no, I was having attempting to discuss something about it, but peter being peter decides that his prejudice for me takes precedence over what I actually say  It's sad trolling and baiting.

I'm with magicmilner on this. Much prefer the original controls over the Wii remote, much more satisfying.

Finally got past Floor 36 boss, just made MC healer with resistance to wind when other two male characters focus on attacking boss. Nearly lost at end, but I used fire gem and killed the boss  x 100 Mopping up few more requests, fusioned new personas and levelling up some more. I think I'm ready for next full moon boss~

It would probably take me month or less to finish it along The Answer bit; so I think I'll take break before popping in Persona 4 by replaying Yakuza or Kingdom Hearts (originals) - or even Ratchet & Clank.

Finished world 8 of Super Mario 3D Land. And, like it hadn't given me enough love already, to be sure threw me a whole lot more.

Portal 2. Too much Skyrim made me desperate for another game. I did only mean to begin portal 2, but ended up leaving Skyrim for 2 days. This is really something considering how I've been addicted to it for 3 weeks. Thoroughly enjoyed working out each test chamber and felt a genuine sense of achievement when I completed them. Very impressed by the game, it's a shame I didn't play it earlier to give it an award. The humour in it is brilliant too. Currently working through chapter 7; skyrim has unfortunately pulled me away from it for now though.

Tales of the abyss has only had about another 30mins of play as I'm reading through quite a few books at the minute and taking one in particular on my journeys instead.

I figured that out after the third death  :fp: at self.
I did make it slightly more annoying than it had to be (like stopping to use LS and Boner Gun alt fire) but it was still pretty annoying... and then came Big Boner :fp: I didn't mind the deaths during that, but why oh why must I have to sit through the cutscenes over and over?! Save *after* the cutscene damn you!

Shadows of the Damned - Those 2D bits are gooseberry fool too. Regular shooty bits are supoib.
Just had to restart a chapter because I didn't buy drinks off Chris when I had the chance and ended up having to face two of those spinny armoured gits with next to no health and no drinks.

When something gets pretty much universal acclaim there is always someone who wants to gain internet forum points by being the tiny minority who hate it, saying it over and over makes them feel important, as does baiting in spoiler boxers for some reason  , as if that makes it ok, either have the balls to say what you want to say or don't bother.
