Nearing the end of God of War 2 and have decided to hold off playing Driveclub until the online issues are sorted - probably next year at this rate!

GOW 2 is fantastic - brilliant story and the best, most varied upgrades in the whole series although GOW 3 feels more epic in scale. Will be sad to finish this as I have completed every other 3D GOW title and despite there being little changes in gameplay throughout the series, it is seriously addictive and fun to play. Ascension was probably the worst for me, but even that was decent.

At least give Ni No Kuni a bit of a bash before starting Crysis 3 (which, btw, had such a noticeably low fps that I gave up on it almost straight away).

Still Tomb Raider. I thought I had lost my save file as it corrupted and wouldn't load but thankfully it had backed up to cloud storage last night so I was okay. At 75% through the game I had no intention of starting over. After Googling this problem it's apparently very common in the PS4 and XBONE versions. Little more play testing needed methinks.

Just started Shadow of Mordor and have today received my early backer Dreamfall: Chapters Kickstarter Steam Key. Great time to be alive.

Dirt 3

Not enjoying this gymkhana challenge. It's like they played dark souls &thought it was a good idea to make into a racing game.
To get a platinum medalI have to hit all the targets & get 200,000 points in about a minute & a bit.
I'll be lucky to hit 150,000. At a push I bet I could hit 175,000.
I don't understand you game devs & your 2 hArCoReZ4U dUuUuUudEEe!11!1!!1!111! Attitude.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze

What a hateful banana split of a game. I can only assume the whole thing is a metaphor for the holocaust, or that it was designed by rapists.

9/10 so far

Borderlands Pre Sequel though I think I'll give it a break until DLC comes out, of course I'll be up for co-op if anyone asks but for solo I've pretty much done everything. Just one achievement left but I need other three players to be able to earn it. Good thing it's easy, just getting people to do it with me on other hand... Also playing through Tomb Raider again this time on 360, yup mainly for achievements (singleplayer! Multiplayer can strawberry float off) but I love the game so I don't really mind playing through it again. I'll eventually pick up Xbox One version as well :shifty: (...At £10 or less by next year or two that is) About few hours to go.

Super Mario 3D World - Decent, but nothing groundbreaking in my eyes. Nintendo need to bring out a proper sequel to Super Mario 64
MK8 - Pretty decent game, but haven't given it enough time yet
Far Cry 3 PS3 - That stupid Hornets Nest mission is IMPOSSIBLE and I give up on this crap. I'm playing on Easy too!
Driveclub - Brilliant game, but too short and the online is messed up. Not sure I have the motivation to want to continue once the online is sorted tbh.

Shin Megami Tensei IV:

I'd forgot how bonkers the writing is in SMT games at times, in a game about the impending apocalypse and demons one early plot revolves around the transformative power of literature

That's a shame. I'm at level 19 with over 33 hrs played now and it still draws me in. I'm nowhere near an rpg fan (FF7 & 8 being my only rpg experience previously) but I'm enjoying it immensely. Plus on the Vita it looks gorgeous with the OLED screen. Its handy for a 10 minute blast or for a full 90 minute session.

so yeah, im currently playing Rainbow Moon, interspersed with some AC4 Black Flag which ive finally got back into this week after owning it since December!

Surely the point of having a platinum medal level of reward is to make you have to perfect your skills.

If you don't like that mode why are you trying to do this? I don't get this kind of response that Dirt 3/4 gets, you can skip/put very little effort in to those parts of the game you don't like and still see the rest of the 'racing' experience available in the game if you really don't like that mode.

If you want easy gymkhana stuff try dirt showdown, the handbrake is basically the "do a cool thing" button, and you sort of lock to the spin cone things as you donut round them.

DiRT 3

Took a month or so's break from this, as it was getting a bit boring. Have come back to it though and enjoying it again, although I could still take or leave the gymkhana stuff. Rallying part of it is far and away the best bit, some of the races are okay though. On the final season, hoping to finish it off this week.

Metroid Prime

Enjoying it more. The constant backtracking is a bit annoying, but it's quite compelling once you get into it. Still don't really see what all the fuss is about, but it's decent.

GTA: San Andreas

Decided to pick this up when it was at £2.99 on the XBLM, having given it up on it a few years back. Okay so far, but I'm too early on to really assess it. Still haven't got to the point where I gave up on it before, so I'll see how I feel by that point. It's not a great port - frame rate's patchy and I've had a couple of cut scenes where the audio's cut out, but it decent enough for a PS2 game. Nothing game-breaking or distracting enough to spoil things.

I need to put aside some money for this. It will be my first SMT game.

Fez. Was gonna wait until I got a Vita next week to start it but since I have nothing else left to play on PS3 I said I might as well play something. Wow, suddenly I see where all the acclaim came from. This is strawberry floating brilliant. Yet so goddamn mind-numbing and confusing. The map is strawberry floating huge, too. This is gonna take a while.

Resident Evil 3 via Vita, re started it after months of not playing. Took a while to get into but enjoyable enough. Lacks the atmosphere of 1 and 2 but the nemesis is awesome.

Managed to pick up Disgaea 3 and 4 for the Vita yesterday for the grand total sum of £12. Not played any Disgaea game before and not convinced they will be my thing but seem ideal for portable pick up and play sessions. Sure I will make money on them if decide to sell on as well.
