Just started Fallout New Vegas. Engine wise feels identical to Fallout 3 (as far as I can remember) but the (so far) outdoors environment makes it slightly better. However, still finding it a bit of chore as it feels very slow paced (can't seem to run). Think I'll just stick to the main quest as it will grow old very fast otherwise.

It's so much better than Fallout 3 in almost every way. Dive in and enjoy the experience.

Assuming there is a main "story" like Fallout 3, if you complete the relevant main quests does the game end?

I thought that was a bit gooseberry fool in the original game TBH. I think for this I'm just going to get onto the main quest and tackle only sub quests that have trophies attached.

Completed Rage a few days ago. I'm a bit upset that it's over. At the end you can't help thinking 'but I was only just getting to know you' . It's left me a bit desperate for Rage 2.

Along with everything else I'm playing, I've gone back to Lego Harry Potter. Picked it up cheap in the sales last year and it ended up on 'the shelf of death'. Can't justify (as much as I've tried) buying the next game without finishing the first. Glad I've gone back to it though, as it's just wonderful and especially nice to play this time of year.

I'm bashing through Fable 3 and I'm starting to really hate these strawberry floating interactions with NPCs. It's bullshit. I'm doing a mission where I have to find location X in town Y, and in any normal game, this would be achieved by talking to people in the area; gathering clues and so forth. But in this? No, every strawberry floating person I talk to wants to strawberry floating play pat-a-cake.

 One of many reasons why I don't get on Fable 3 much as I do with Fable 1/2.

So I've been fancying replaying Morrowind as I loved the culture - it was my favourite area to explore.

Then I remembered the combat is just gooseberry fool at start  I spent while fighting someone who's throwing ninja stars, when I fire arrows only missing because of old luck system :fp: Kept missing each other...and won with low hp (which was low to start with, 40hp!!!)

As much as I love Morrowind, I'm glad Oblivion and Skyrim got rid of Morrowind's battle engine!

Has anyone bought Kirby: Mass Attack for the DS? Quite fancy it after Mario 3D whetting my appetite for platforming goodness...

It seems to have been really well received.

I've got it, only got to the second island, but its good.

Perhaps not quite as good as I remember Canvas Curse (Power Paintbrush) being, but definitely worth getting.

That's great to hear. Any comparison to Canvas Curse makes for a solid game.

I will probably wait until after Christmas, hoping it falls into the £15-18 bracket.

Can you foresee replay value, Hugo? Or is it not quite good enough to demand the time for a replay.

Theres stuff to unlock that I'll probably go back for, but I'm not sure about after that. Seems like theres quite a lot of game anyway, I mean its Kirby so you know its not really going to challenge you, but like I said what I've played so far is fun enough.

My favorite part of Mass Attack was the unlockable RPG. Now I want an entire game centered around that.

Skyrim (PC): About 48 hours in I think, but so far i've only "finished" one city, and am probably about half way through a second. I've done very little of the main quest so far, i'm just too busy being a good citizen. But it's amazing.

Aquaria (PC): I had a quick go at this last night while waiting for something to download and was completely baffled by it. I had no idea what I was doing in my short playthrough, I could tell I needed to sing at certain coloured things with certain coloured songs, but other than that, I was just swimming about minding my own business for 15 minutes.

Still going through Fable 3.

Christ, it's like a different game after you take over as king. This is actually fun now.

Actually, it's awesome. This is just a different game altogether.

Well, I say awesome. It's awesome in comparison.

What kind of game? Does it become more like a god sim or something rather than an RPG?
