The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Before I get to the game proper, whose idea was it to include that horrifically patronising (and unskippable) "how to connect your Motion Plus" video before getting to the game?
Anyway, Nintendo has made some much-needed changes to the formula of the series, from what I've seen so far. On top of that the animation is better than ever, made even better by the art direction and Nintendo somehow squeezing that extra bit of juice out of the creaking architecture of the Wii.

Looking forward to playing more tomorrow...

It asks you if you want to view the tutorial video, doesn't it?

It does that with your first Motion + game doesn't it?

I had it with Red Steel 2, I believe.

No, it plays it anyway and you can't skip it.

It is face smashingly dull.

It shows it for every Wii Motion+ game, before you create a save file, and yes it's unskippable.

I didn't get it with Zelda. Only Red Steel 2.

Pretty sure after the first time you can set it never to show again on any game somewhere, I certainly haven't seen it since the beginning of Motion+.

Pretty sure I never saw that Motion Plus video when I started up Skyward Sword.

Red Faction Armageddon - Seems okay so far, can't really complain about the game as I got it for £4.49. They went down the Dead Space route, which is kinda bizarre but I'm enjoying it. The magnet gun is ace.

That might explain it. I got my M+ with Grand Slam Tennis on the cheap a while back but the Wii went unused for some months before Skyward Sword was played.

However you look at it though, it's very patronising.

Yes, patronizing, but nothing to get worked up over. It doesn't last very long from what I remember.

Dead Rising 2 Off The Record (PC) and Super Mario 3D Land (3DS).

Dead Rising 2 OTR is pretty same as Dead Rising 2, but I'm still having fun. The combat being outdated really shows though, especially how the combat was better in Dead Island. Other than that, it looks really stunning, and runs very well (although there's little choppiness in cutscenes). Can't wait to be able to combo weapons again so I can go Knuckles on zombies' asses.

Super Mario 3D Land - I don't get on with 2D Mario well as 3D Mario games, but this actually has made me enjoyed it so much as 3D Mario games. I love it. Going to play through it leisurely then go back & mop up for gold flags + Star coins. Near end of World 3.

Really loving Assassin's Creed Revelations. It's right up there with the second game for me. Constantinople is gorgeous, one of the best game environments I've ever explored

BulletStorm (PC) - It's just really good fun, there's not many things more satisfying than leashing someone to you, kicking them away in Slow-mo then shooting them in the face and watching their head explode.

Mario Kart 7 - I finished all the races on 150cc and unlocked Mirror mode. Two questions for anyone else playing it, what are coins actually for on this? And what do the stars mean? I've got one star next to all my trophies and two star next to like two of 'em.

Mario 3D Land - Really good fun, and i'm actually finding it quite hard at places for some reason. There was one level I died so much it gave me like an invincible suit so I could only die if I fell off

Star Wars: The Old Republic - Just reached level 10, and it's really good so far. It does seem a little slow in the travel aspect though, but apparently i'll be getting sprint in the next few levels. PvP is awesome fun on it.

I never saw that video. According to GAF you don't see it when you use the Zelda Motion+ for some reason.

Gears 3 - General RAAM DLC and finished off the main campaign on Hardcore (again) on my LIVE account. Just got Insane on Arcade mode (4 player) to do.

MGS2 and 3 HD - strawberry float me these controls are a bit shite :x Will have to see if I can tweak them, they're nt very intuitive when played with default (360 version).

Sould Calibur 5 - Thanks to Dala I'll now not feel like a total button-basher as the last SC game I played was on the Dreamcast. Still prefer the SF4 style of combat mind... :shifty:

Coins unlock new cars, wheels and hanggliders.

And what do the stars mean?

You need at east one star on every cup to unlock the
golden wheels.

Beyond that, the stars are just for bragging rights.
