Currently Playing in 2014....

I've had it for ages but for some reason never got past World 1.

Sunk a lot of time into SMG1, though.

Not sure how this fits in with that one, though. That glowy lady has disappeared and I liked the ship you went around on in that one more. This one doesn't muck about, though. Straight in and into some crazy levels from the off.

Finished Phoenix Wright Dual destines last week and the special episode today.

Feel lost now.

Shadowrun Returns

Really liking this so far, the mix of cyberpunk tactical squad based shooter and high fantasy rpg is a bit odd at first but works surprisingly well. I'm guessing the 'matrix' bits weren't in the original shadowrun games though as they predate the the Matrix films by at least six years.

Not so good is the save system, there's no way to save mid mission, instead the game autosaves evey time you change location.

Infamous

Trying to stay good but it doesn't help when I have people flapping about like a headless chicken then I end up killing them by accident. The words "your actions where slightly evil" appeared, I quit, reloaded & I have to do that mission again. Effing annoying.

I hope I wont have this carry on in infamous 2

It's not that hard. There's lot of time so you dont have to restart mission if it makes you slightly evil, don't forget you can heal any people for goodpoints as well Arc restiant enemies when they're down.

Infamous 2 makes it bit easier with your attacks doing less damage to people who are on your side if you go good side; along area-of-effect healing pulse.

Just started playing Max Payne 3. If the rest of the game is just constant bullet-time running, diving and gunning, this is going to get old very, very quickly.

I fear that that may be the case, because that's exactly how a friend of mine described the game.

The cutscenes look good, though?

Batman Arkham Origins -360

Gone back to this after stopping halfway through. It's not a bad game, very good in fact! It just feels like I've played it all before.

Going to finish it tonight then sell it on I think.

Persona 4 Golden.

Finally beat that strawberry floating deformed baby / pixel hero boss style, meaning I can now progress through the game at last

Also playing Joyride Jetpack on PSVita. Still amazing.

Pinball Arcade

Sod the fake, impossible tables of Pinball FX2 these are all real, Black Hole, Bride of Pinbot and Arabian Nights are my current favourites.

Might have to buy the season 2 tables too.

Why?

Creating an exact replica of a physical pinball table is all well and good. But if you are going to the trouble of making a pinball videogame, why limit yourself to physical restraints on the tables that don't exist in the game.

There's at least a place for both types of pinball game. Don't you think that if it was possible to do more with real pinball table people would have done it?

Was playing Ys1, near end of game I think.

I was going to do another playthrough soon on hardest difficulty then I hit the second-last boss (which I assume it is anyway) and it's making me reconsider that and just move onto Ys 2 instead.

While it's good game, Ys Origin makes it bit meh considering the combat is basically bumping into enemies and I've already hit my level max waaaay before the half point mark (99999 xp / 99999 gold :shifty:

) so there's really no enjoyment to have as it was in Ys Origin (and Felghata)...

Well despite me saying in last post, I've went and started Ys1 on Nightmare difficulty. I'm stuck on boss where you need to beat for third book and turned it off to take break.

Can't stand boss fights in Ys1. Stupid cheap ass whores. (Or at least, two of them)

Today I played some WRC 4, Rayman Origins with my children, and started Tomb Raider - which has been sat on my HD since I bought the 360 a few months back. Might play a bit of Skyrim tonight.

Started that Killzone Mercenary in an attempt to get into the lore before starting Shadow Fall. I got a very pleasant surprise when I found out you can stealth through a lot of it (so far) but some daft bastard thought it would be good to put sprint and crouch on the same button - so I'm trying to stealth towards an enemy and then will suddenly start sprinting, alerting everyone. Excellent design decision, well strawberry floating done.
