Back to Metro:Last Light. Previously my auto save corrupted and I'd decided the game would not be played further, but amazingly uploading the save to the cloud and back again seems to have corrected it! Think I'm near the end. Not overly enjoying it, but want to see how it all ends.

Yes?

I have arrived at the final chapter again on The Last of Us, on New Game Plus Normal difficulty.

Really determined to stealth my way through this section, in preparation for Hard/Survivor.

I've just made it out of the hotel area in Last of Us. I completely lost track of time playing this, before I knew it it was about 5 am and the sun was coming up. I put off playing this as I thought I'd had the story spoiled for me but someone told me that what I thought happened was wrong, now I'm playing it I love it. Can't strawberry floating stand Bloaters though!

Joel's death scene when a bloater catch him. :dread:

Other than that, Bloaters are probably the easiest one to dispatch once you know how to. It's the human enemies that pose more threat than the Fungus Undead posse.

Playing through Far Cry 3 at the moment. Much, much better than Far Cry 2.

I'm not in love with it, but it's still good game to pass some time. I don't like the bow in it though - felt weak as hell and would rather to use my assault rifle/sniper rifle combo with shotgun/LMG as backup weapons.

The opposite's true once it's upgraded (provided you're stealthy), the bow was so powerful that it made guns almost redundant for me

Is there a trick to offing Bloaters that I'm missing? I usually lob Molotov's at them and finish them off with the shotgun.

I tend to do optional stuff mostly before I do main questline, and so far the bow has been fairly lacking while I could be stealthy with takedowns/sniper rifle, and if I strawberry float it up then assault rifle/LMG.

Maybe I'll do some main quests later on, if it makes bow better that way. Still haven't past first couple of main missions - just doing far too much optional stuff

Oh wow. Only read the first few words of Wedgie's post about The Last of Us and I can only assume I now know the ending of that game too. What is it with this strawberry floating place and spoilers? :dread: :fp: (If it's not a spoiler and doesn't actually happen, just ignore this, I just assumed the worst after reading some of it and didn't want to read the rest.)

Anyway, the reason I came in here: Twilight Princess.

Stuck it on for the first time in two years and was outside the Temple of Time so I went and finished that. Anyone know how much longer I have left? Really didn't enjoy that temple at all, but I don't want to give up on it completely if i'm near the end. Honestly can't remember what was even going on in the game when I stopped playing it last time.

He means death animation as in when you get killed in-game by an enemy.

South Park: Stick of truth (PS3)

Think i'm nearing the end of this now, its a funny game but i'm getting to that point where i'm ready for it to be over now. I'm currently about to do the 3rd mission for the girls, how much longer do I have left?

Transistor:

Eh it's alright but it's all voice acting and area design again, just like Bastion with little beyond that. The weakest part is the gameplay which sucks considering it's a game

I was listening to the giant bomb podcast and they seemed to think it wasn't quite as catchy as Bastion was and more of a slow burner. I will pick it up once its under £10

This time the VA guy isn't narrating but playing a character and all the music's lounge jazz, so yeah there's a different feel. Combat's one gimmick is being able to pause time but because of this the action is weaker than is Bastion.

As for buying it this is bound to be in a billion £2 bundles or sales so there's little sense in purchasing now

More Dynasty Warriors 8 on PC - damn this game is big. Only just finished one of the 6 campaigns as well as pissing about in Ambition mode, total time 14 hours  Might take a bit of a breather before doing any more though. The Wei fighters Cao Cao, Dian Wei, Zhang Liao and Xiahou Dun are pretty damn cool, wonder how the rest will measure up.

Far Cry 3.

I think I'm at point where I have to kill Vaas soon, so far while it's solid title I'm not feeling the love for it yet. Don't get me wrong, it's good game and I really enjoyed it but I just don't love it. Maybe I've played far too many sandbox games so this isn't really special in any way.

Still, nothing beats run to enemy and stab him then build up the combo by stabbing another enemy  And explosive arrows are amazing <3 That and it looks really nice on PC too :) (No screenshots I'm afraid)

Still playing Etrian Odyssey and M&L Superstar Saga. I'm quite far into the Millennium Girl, currently on the 5th Stratum. Holy plot twist Batman. I may not be completely enamored with the characters, but I like some of the themes running through the story. Gameplay is still engrossing and challenging. Very glad I bought this game. Only thing is it's quite exhausting. I don't like picking it up for less than an hour and a half. Haven't been able to put any great time into it on weekdays because of work.

I'm at the Princess Peach escort mission in Superstar Saga. Very enjoyable game and it's not as overbearing with tutorials as the latest entry in the series. Emulation on this version is spot on, I'm having a great time with it again. It hasn't really aged that much.

You are on the right track.

I usually don't use aim for Molotovs, but I throw it when there's a green reticle showing. Most of time the bloater will panic and flail around in the flame area and then die. If it doesn't then another Molotov will kill them.

And one more thing...

Joer. No apologies?
