Persona 3 Portable - Its starting to get a bit monotonous thanks to the dullness of the dungeons/tower, I gone through over 100 floors now and the scenery has changed twice .

I've only seen roughly 35% of the 170 different 'Personas' but aside from looking different they're all just variations of 12 different types with almost the same moveset.

Added Beyond Two Souls to the list of games I'm playing. Bit of a shaky start and some of the dialogue and pacing is a bit clunky, but getting quite into it now.

Worst part about playing a game of XCOM with all the content is the strawberry floating slingshot DLC, everything else can be delayed or avoided once you know how to; except Slingshot which rushes you into two costly back2back missions.

Newfoundland :dread: I think the best upgrade I've ever brought into that level was a few laser rifles. I'm always really under-equipped.

Given up playing Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate on Vita. I've reached the mine or something and it's just boring me to tears now. May carry on with it on PS4. Moved on to Fez on Vita for now and that at least will occupy me thanks to its mind bending scope. I hope.

The art style in the opening town was weird, but I liked it. It was like a weird blend of 50s America, 19th century Paris and rural Japan, but it worked. Now I just appear to be beating the gooseberry fool out of Pokemon with a stick, which is oddly satisfying.

Got to Chapter III on Witcher 2 now, the choices doesn't seem matter too much in Chapter II but the story is still pretty great, can't wait to see what happens next.

Seeing as though the PS3 is still waiting for a new HDD and the PS4 has no games I started a new game of Onimusha 3 on the PS2 last night.

I don't know why they don't just have Jean Reno speak English instead of having a bad American actor, or even have a Japanese voice actor for Samanosuke, small issue but it winds me up.

The game is still really bloody good though, it's been about 10 years since I last played this game so I don't remember a lot of what happens so it feels quite fresh.

Having recently gone through the Maximo games it made me realise that Capcom in that generation were God tier.

I managed to get a couple of hours in to Panzer Dragoon Saga at the weekend and it's just fantastic. The only complaint I've ever really read is that it's a bit short - but I prefer short and sweet at the minute because I'm not finding tons of time to play. The battle system works perfectly. I feel like you could clean up the graphics (which are great for the Saturn), release it today and it would feel fresh.

Sadly it would have to be completely re-built from the ground up as the source code no longer exists, the Japanese were bloody awful at source control.

I always thought that Onimusha 3 was the best one, even with those awful Michelle bits. What a game.

Somehow I've managed to pull things back on track, my genetics lab allowed me to give healing power to my top 2 soldiers, an ability already put to test on alien base assault.

I had 2 mutons a cyber disc and a drone in a position to take out my top sniper and my only support healer. Assault lined up shot - miss  last move I had available and looking bleak but I fired my heavy with HEAT bonus at cyber disc. By luck it was critical hit with just enough to take out the disc. It fell and exploded taking out both mutons

Drone retreats. I heal and go on to complete mission 8-)

However my key team are badly injured and I have a covert op coming up with no decent troops to use.

Love the tension this game creates, and the anger when you miss a crucial shot that had 80% chance to hit :fp:

I wonder if they could only afford his French voice?

Wind Waker HD, I'm just off to find Jabun. I've only gone through this game fully once before and I'd forgotten just how good it was. Cant't wait for the proper Wii U Zelda, I should really get Twilight Princess finished and give Skyward Sword a look.

Maybe they had to pay him on a volume of content basis, yeah. Wouldn't surprise me.
Shhheeeeiii I'm clamming to replay it now that we're on about it!

I was so into Onimusha back in the PS2 days. I retain that Dawn of Dreams was actually a damn good game stained by the awful story and voice acting. Five playable characters (but strawberry float Ohatsu, guns in Onimusha :| ) with distinct differences, a much wider range of available weapons also with distinct differences, more dark world dungeons etc. It was a great game really.

Skyrim:

"Right team with created this visually impressive, large and non-linear dungeon for the main quest but we need something else to do there. Any ideas"
"How about a shitty nirnroot hunt because everyone loved that part of Oblivion"
"Give that man a promotion"

Thank christ for console codes

Nirnroot hunt :dread:

Wish Skyrim wasn't dumbed down in questline compared to Oblivion (which is also dumbed down from Morrowind)... I'd love to go back to Morrowind for decent storyline/quests but I cannot stomach the gameplay stuff any more on Morrowind :dread:

Hopefully next Elder Scrolls will have better storyline/characters/quest :(
