The "choices" in Skyrim are an infuriating change to quests because they're either pointless (about 80% of them including choosing whether or not to strawberry floating kill several major characters) or they result in the quest line splitting in half; this isn't a problem in games like the witcher because choices are everywhere (making it so you carve out your own story) and the game's suitable to replay.

Who wants to replay Skyrim just for the other half of Dawnguard :dread:

I've not started Dawnguard yet :fp: I've 1000g'd 360 version but I just can't be arsed playing Skyrim again on PC. :slol:

Been playing Gunpoint, I've made sure I didn't kill anyone (just knock them out) and I'm far enjoying it - it's not too hard which is bonus since I'm crap at stealth in general, so I'm really loving it... on last mission though.

Do you know much about this game Cal? I'm tempted to pre-order for the DLC. Previews indicate it's entertaining if unspectacular, but I enjoy a bit of sniping.

OK, cheers for that. Maybe I'll wait for a price drop then.

Yeah, V2 is really quite difficult to play as a stealth game because it hasn't got the mechanics to back it up.

All the guards have laser vision and it forces you through areas where you really have no chance of sneaking through.

V3 has a 10 GB day one patch on XBO, so Buff will be pleased.

Get it on PS4 then.

Eurogamer had a good preview of the game, looks pretty good, one to get when the price drops IMO:

If you have a PC capable of playing it then it's only 15 snoops for a Steam key on Simplycdkeys.com. That feels like the 'right' price to me if it's anything like V2.

Don't you have a PS4? Apparently all the other versions have tiny patches.

Picked up Borderlands 2 in the Steam sale, and every much enjoying it.

I started as Zero, but was struggling to get past Captain Flynt. I watched a guide which recommended playing as Axton, so I've re-rolled and started again. Almost at Flynt again before switching off last night. I can tell it would be great fun to play in co-op, but I've no mates.

Just took the Belfry Gargoyles to SCHOOL :datass:

Lost Sinner was actually a lot easier than I expected, especially being able to lock on (a friend told me about lighting the torches).

#DS2 :datass:

Skyrim - Dragonborn

Bethesda hurt themselves with this by making comparisons to Bloodmoon and Shivering Isles easy and then creating a gameworld where there's about 10 citizens who aren't mindless zombies.

"Hey guys you liked MORROWIND right? Well we've set this on the island from one of Morrowind's expansions."
Interesting, but what's the gameplay like; have you made some new dungeons?
"What about the dungeons you say? Oh we went with more Draugar because everyone loved that part of Skyrim! Also we covered the entire island in ash."
yay

On the positive side the bad guy turning up to steal a blood dragon's soul after you fight it was an amazing dickmove.

Sniper Elite III (PS4 version)

I've played about three hours of it so far.

The Good:
Looks great on PS4. Crisp textures, detailed game world, nice light/shadow/particle fx and no discernable frame rate issues. Hi-res rocks never get old.
Sneaking about is absolutely an option here - and it works!
Planning is everything: scope out your encounters before going in and it's perfectly possible to string together multiple stealth melee kills before resorting even to your silenced pistol for the first time.
Tagging enemies with your binoculars is essential. There'll always be one you've missed.
The first proper level (second mission - first is a training mission) is HUGE. If you go slow, thorough and careful it will take you ages to get through.

The Bad:
No swastikas. :x What in the name of Holy F*ck..? In a game which glories in visceral, close-up, slo-mo gun violence, in which the camera lovingly lingers around disintegrating skulls, eviscerated torsos and genital destruction somehow swastikas were deemed a step too far? :fp: I wanted to fight Nazis. :( Not sure who these 'x symbol' people are...

It's a fun game - better than SE:II and more enjoyable as stealth-em-up than it has any right to be. Looks great on PS4 - probably going to look even better on PC.

Thought "strawberry float it", re-installed Hotline Miami and I'm glad I did. Enjoying it more than before; on chapter 8 at the moment.

At 60+ hours having finished the main game and all side missions plus 80% of everything else I decided I was finally done with AC Black flag.

This week Murdered soul suspect arrived from boomerang and I'd completed it by the next day. I was completely engrossed until the very end and was impressed by some of its fresh ideas but ultimately disappointed it was so short and unchallenging in terms of gameplay. I still remain quite fond of it and I'm happy I got to experience playing as a ghost with practically the entire gaming field being open to exploration (even if relatively small). Walking through walls just didnt get old. Yet I wished it had been a £12 psn game so the criticism levelled at it wasn't as significant. In such a case I could have scored it 8 but as it stands its no more than 5 or 6. I honestly think this year ive had the best enjoyment from low scoring games.

Currently waiting for wolfenstein or sniper 3 to arrive from boomerang. Just downloaded Transistor, valiant hearts and entwined on psn to play in the meantime.

Still Wind Waker HD mostly. I'm about to find the sages so I can do the temples.

I'm also playing through Super Mario World again. Currently up to world 4 with all exits thus far including Star World.
