Got to the 4th colossus and gave up due to the shitty controls, strawberry floating terrible on horseback too.

 Glad it wasn't just me, then. I can see why people liked it - the music, the graphics, the sheer scale of the colossi, and, as I understand it, the feels as you progress through the game. But none of those things relate to the way the bloody thing plays. :fp:

Currently playing Kingdom Hearts HD on PS3.

I haven't played this in years  Through Agrabah now, so momentum is starting to pick up and I'm finally feeling like Sora is relatively powerful.

Atlantica to come though :dread:

Cannae wait for KH2 HD coming out at Christmas...

Ratchet and Clank HD - PS3

Picked up the 4 ps3 games (tools of destruction, quest for booty, crack in time and nexus) so thought it worth getting the hd collection too to see where it all began as i never played the originals.

It still holds up in its own way; the chunky aesthetic has aged well, and the constant 60fps with no tearing is very welcome. The controls are a bit off, but i gather from r&c2 onwards that was fixed. Some of the faces look a bit weird - ratchet has the odd crazed/vacant look and captain qwark sometimes looks like a face stretched in garrys mod.

I'm not going to make any friends wjth this, but i prefer ratchet and clank to jak and daxter. There, i said it.

As a franchise, most definitely. The 1st J&D is perhaps better than the 1st - and several more - R&C games, but R&C 2 and 3 are absolutely sublime.

Ratchet & Clank is my favourite Playstation franchise, I love every single game (with maybe exception of Size Matters for PSP & All 4 One for PS3). I need to try out Nexus.

Ratchet & Clank  Best Playstation characters ever.

I just can't get on with The Last of Us at all. I'm seriously finding it one of the most tedious games I've ever played in over 30 years of gaming. Not trying to be edgy or whatever - I'm just disappointed that a game so highly-rated by just about everyone is failing to click with me. I'm up to the very start of Winter and I can't wait for it all to be over so I can crack on with something else.

Well, it can't be good for everyone.

As someone who found very little entertainment in the stealth sections of the Arkham games (loved the rest of it though), I think I was always going to struggle with The Last of Us, in retrospect (I knew very little of the game mechanics prior to actually playing it). Commendable production values and all that, but I was hoping for a lot more.

Battlefield 4 on-line: Not liking this as much now, still far too glitchy and isn't getting any better.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War - Fantastic little game.
Outlast - Finally, a scary game!
Murdered: Soul Suspect - Enjoying this and I think it's worth more than a 6 in most reviews I've seen.

I don't know how anyone could think the opposite. In terms of original Trilogies, Ratchet and Clank gooseberry fools all over Jak and Daxter. From a great height.

I hate the lot of 'em. I hope ND never go back to whichever of the two they were responsible for.

Zelda II

I'm on the fourth palace now, has got a lot easier, but still providing a challenge. Some enemies are just a huge pain in the arse though. Keep coming back to this and then leaving it for a week or so. Enjoyable to pick up and put down and play in bursts.

Fallout 3

Think I've just finished the main quest in this. Kinda came out of nowhere, and was pretty anti-climactic. Didn't feel long enough to be the main quest really, but hey ho. Still a bit I want to do in terms of quests on my lists, but I'm not fussed about exploring too much. A couple more hours and I imagine I'll be done.

DiRT 3

Really enjoying this. First DiRT game I've played, picked up the VIP edition for £10 a while ago. Looks great, and I love the point-to-point rally stages. Bombing around in the Stratos. :datass:

Last of Us - PS3

I've no idea how far in I am but it's definitely not gripped me like it seems to have gripped the rest of the world. I've got to a bit where I jumped down on to an elevator shaft, boosted Ellie up to a window and then the lift gave way and I fell in to some water at the bottom. Trying to get back up to her now. Just turned on some generator thing which made strawberry float tons of clickers appear and I turned the game off. I still don't know how the game ends (although I have my suspicions) but i'm not that fussed about finding out at the moment. Although the combat does feel so.. meaty and satisfying. Love getting in to a brawl with someone.

Picked up Spider-Man 2 on Gamecube today at a carboot. Shite combat, shite story missions, shite voice acting, but strawberry float me the web swinging is incredible. Nothing like jumping off the empire state building and then swinging around at full speed and doing loop-de-loops and gooseberry fool.
The game has made me rethink how I was going about my gaming habits. I recently got rid of a load of games that I only kept around for pointless pissing about because I decided I needed to be more focused but you know what? I strawberry floating love pissing around, it's like I forgot it's sometimes okay to have fun for fun's sake.

Etrian Odyssey IV, I'm at the 3rd labyrinth, just met the animal warriors and learned how to sub class my dudes. Sub classing is awesome. I have a medic who is doubling up as an arcanist and she now kicks ass. I now have to decide what subclasses to assign to my other guys.

Totally love this game. I hope the remake of two is localized.

Trying to finish Dark Souls 2 off - On memories section - annoying it is!

Must admit the PS3 is has a stack of PS Plus games on it, many of them pretty good like Okami and Far Cry 3 - games which need to be finished! Probably could have waited a few years to dip into the current gen, but the newer console is certainly a step above PS3!

Started Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut on the Wii U, it isn't quite what I was expecting. Feels like Splinter Cell mixed with Alpha Protocol at the minute. Surprised how rough it looks too, no Blade Runner like atmosphere to be seen anywhere.
