Sacred 3.
This has to be the most disapointing game in years for me. The first 2 Sacred games were sprawling isometric RPG's but Sacred 3 is just a formulaic and poor update to gauntlet.
The character customising is nonexistent and even the upgrade tree is tiny and even though you can see tons of loot falling from enemies you only get money and cant change from the same basic weapons and armour.

The biggest problem this game has is the voice acting and script. The characters are all unlikeable to the point where ive now given up as you cant shut them up and they spout gooseberry fool about how they are sexualy aroused by the slaughter and this is almost constant.

3/10

I couldn't even be bothered to pirate sacred 3 after I saw the reviews :dread:

I've been playing a lot of Harvest Moon on the 3DS (I have no idea what the subtitle is "A new something" probably) and I'm enjoying it despite the repetitive nature of the game.
Essentially the gameplay consists of repeating a list of actions every in game day which gradually increases as the game develops, despite this the grind is almost enjoyable because of the setting the game is presented in. I think playing the game whilst I watch tv shows is distracting me from being annoyed at the numerous flaws.

Although it's clearly enjoyable enough for me to play I do wish they'd brought Rune Factory 4 to europe rather than this, the fantasy take on Harvest Moon is better not because of the combat but because it adds a lot of diversity to the list of possible activities you can do every day.

Region locking is a strawberry floating joke, as is not releasing a game in the UK market when you have an English translation already made thanks to the US version

Fallout 3

Completed the main game, but I'm going through all the DLC. Done all of them apart from Point Lookout. Pretty underwhelmed to be honest, they've all been pretty poor. Thankfully I only paid about £2 for each bit.

DiRT 3

Love the point-to-point and races, but the gymkhana stuff is pretty gooseberry fool. Thankfully it only makes up a small part of the game. Been ages since I've played a game with decent rallying in it. :datass:

The second sacred game was really good with large environment's to run around and cause havok in and a wide variety of customization.

Sacred 3 decided to bin everything that made 2 so good which is sad to see.
I'm glad this was one of my boomerang rentals so I didn't waste much money on it.

Tropico 5

Still no windowed display mode but at least the onscreen keyboard stays on top of the game screen.

Seems very similar to Tropico 4.

Crysis 3 (PS3)

Holy gooseberry fool at that "framerate".

Still playing through Deux Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut. Just done some obscene backtracking to pad out what I think is the included DLC mission. Such a drag.

Doesn't the DLC mission just occur during normal gameplay? I'm sure it's blended pretty seamlessly into the game. Granted it has been a while since I played the game.

It is but I was familiar with what the dlc was to recognise it. The latter half involves a lot of running back and forth through the whole map just to talk to a character or press a switch.

I'm a couple of levels away from 'finishing' Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and I've had to put it to one side for a while. I love the game but, not being a hardcore gamer these days, it's a wee bit too much like being strawberry floated in the ass for my liking. I've replayed the first dozen or so levels, to get all the KONG letters and puzzle pieces, but it doesn't seem to be unlocking anything, like it did in the first (Wii) game. Hey ho - I'll keep chipping away at it, I guess.

Anyways, such is the depth and girth of my gaming backlog, I've started playing through Black Ops (yes, I know) and fair play, it's not bad at all. It obviously follows the COD template to the letter, but it's reassuringly familiar and the mechanics work a treat - as you'd expect it to, in all fairness. Not sure how old the game is now (and can't be arsed to check), but it also looks the business and the setpieces tick all the right boxes. It's a tad unnecessarily sweary, if you ask me, but coming from someone who referred to a game as being like getting strawberry floated in the ass, it's a minor criticism.

I'm playing Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. It's not as bad as I expected. It's not as good as the last 2 games and I don't like the Bay film versions of the Transformers, but it's enjoyable.

Finally coming to the end of Sleeping Dogs. It's a short game but I must have restarted it three or four times since it came out and never finished it. Looks great at 1440p maxed out (blur etc off). I have no idea what's going on with the story (not a lot it seems) but above all it's a lot of fun. If they decide to release a complete pack with all of the DLC, and there is tons of it, with the PS4 version I'd probably pick it up one day when the price is right (that might be what they're doing, I haven't looked into it).

Just started Killzone Mercenary on Vita. Only the first mission done so far, but it certainly has the best production values of any vita game I've played so far, the sound is especially good with headphones on.

Really cannot settle on playing one game consistently since I finished Dark Souls 2, and although there are more places to visit in game as well as the DLC, I have honestly had enough of it for now and am waiting for the PS4 version to be announced.

As a result, the following games are being played:

GOW Ascension
ICO HD
Gran Turismo 6 - So many downloads to upgrade the version, but some decent updates too, so cannot complain!
Fifa 14 PS4 - debating whether I should shift this now and wait for Fifa 15. The graphics in 1080p look so impressive compared to the PS3 version.

I really want to restart Zelda Majora's Mask, but if I do that I intend to dedicate most of my gaming time to it until it is finally completed!

On top of that I really ought to get The Last of Us Remastered and I keep hovering over the 'buy' button for Zelda A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS.

Finally, I really want a Wii U - It has a good few games that I want to play now and Bayonetta 2 is out this year too right? Hoping for a new deal from Nintendo to get me to purchase one.

If they just lowered the price I'd still be interested in getting a WiiU - I still want to play ZombiU!

Yep, there's at least 5 games I want to play that are out on the system at the moment and once Zelda is out I will have to own the system!

Once Nintendo release a good bundles (hopefully soon) I shall get one.

Finally got to start Deadly Premonition today. This is strawberry floating incredible. Once I'm done with this I'll give Twin peaks a watch to see how much of it they ripped off.
