Yeah, it is superb. I still prefer X to GX, but that's just personal preference.

I've managed to finish 4th on the GP, but can't get any higher as yet. I can be top 10 no problem at the end of lap 1, but after that there's a noticeable point where all the AI opponents suddenly boost and speed up, and I can't catch them after that. :x

Crazy that the series has been ignored for 11 years now (excluding handhelds).

I don't think I ever made it past the third or fourth story mission. They were stupidly hard.

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate - Been playing this on my Vita for the past couple of weeks during my work commute and I have really enjoyed the vast majority of it so far. The bosses had been a real low point, not helped by the third boss just stopping so I had to restart the whole fight again, but the fourth boss is just strawberry floating awful. The first part is ok but then you get to the bit where you are bounced around and have to really on the grabber deciding to hit its target, got it down to the last part twice now but it just feels like I am fighting the game atm.

Thinking about it I have had less fun with the fourth world as a whole, there have been lots of insta-deaths caused by things off screen getting you before you can react and the hungry ship levels are just terrible. It's like some decided that to shake things up what players really wanted were sections that controlled like a really bad Repton game. Hopefully once I get past the boss things will pick up again in the fifth world.

Not enjoying Dangan2 much, it has a really slow handheld intro chapter, half hour in and I'm still glued to the tutorial character.

Anyone playing Hohokum on Vita, is it good for handheld or should I hold out until I have a PS4?

Started Golden Sun. My lord, the encounter rate is mad.

Really enjoying the music though. The town theme was just so lovely.

Ridge Racer 6. Been meaning to play this for years and I realised playing it today that it is exactly like the PSP versions I used to love so much so I no longer have any motivation for wanting a PSP anymore. Playing it thought has made me realise something, it's made me realise that Ridge Racer Unbounded was made because the series had nowhere else to go after this and Ridge Racer 7. No matter how good the technology gets and no matter how much more powerful the consoles become this type of game has been taken as far as it could ever possibly go. I've notice that happen with a lot of Namco's old franchises, they pretty much got the gameplay spot on for most of them in the 90's so when the likes of the 360 and PS3 came along it became apparently that their titles couldn't be big names in the industry anymore because there wasn't much else left that could be done to make them better or fresh without resorting to risky gimmicks.

Grassy, this talk has reminded me that I need to venture back into the game. After an eighteen-month break it feels like it's time to return to the wastelands. It's easily my game of that generation.

Found the Oasis yesterday now I'm going to help spread it's wonder throughout the wastelands :shifty:

Fallout 3

Completed all the DLC now, and am about half way through collecting the bobbleheads, which will pretty much be the last thing I do I think. There are still a few achievements I have left related to completing certain missions, but I’m still undecided as to whether to tackle those or not.

Zelda II

Damn, getting tough now. Just trying to get to the final palace is proving difficult, let alone getting inside and making progress. :lolshifty:
Gonna have to do some grinding I think and level up. :dread:

After a first negative impression of DR2, I'm now loving it. Lots of fan service in this game, it's like that Dead or Alive Volleyball game at points! I really wanted to bring my Vita into work to continue playing but it'd be far too awkward if someone were to see what I was playing, it looks like a pervy dating sim. :fp:

Back on to GOW Ascension - seems like the same old God of War with a few new features. Am around 4 hours in now and it sometimes feel like I am working my way to the end of the game, but the graphics are pretty good and story is just about captivating enough at the moment.

Welp, had a go on Five Nights at Freddy's. Nope. Nope nope nope.

Nope.

And this was just on my bastard phone. Can't imagine how bad it'd be on a big screen.

Trying to finish the evil run through of inFamous 2nd son. Progress shows at 45% but as I'm not doing any of the side quests this time round and I think I'm a fair way through, hopefully just another few hours to play. Think I'll end up with all trophies other than the go through two vents and thunder drop an enemy as I'm struggling to find somewhere to do this.

Yes?

More of GOW Ascension - want to get this completed before I start on something else.

I am enjoying it more than I did initially did and it has brought some new ideas into the mix. Missed out on playing so many games in the past few years - playing them later on really does take away some of the magic.

It didn't take me long, though I used a guide and got them as I went through all the quests. You can probably get 10-15 of them from quest locations. The others are in various dungeons.

There are two that you have to get when you visit their location, otherwise you can't go back. Both are main quest missions.

I think you can't go back for them, anyway.

I'm still going with Legend of Dragoon on PlayStation (via PS3). I think I'm nearing the end of the first disc and while I'm enjoying the game overall there are a couple of niggling problems firstly the nature of the battle system makes it difficult to pull off certain character's special attacks most notably the spear wielding member of your crew and secondly the enemy encounter rate is annoyingly high with little to no reward for my efforts as the enemies are usually weak yielding little gold or experience, I could always flee but that's not my style.

Okay, thanks. I've got about 10 now, might use a guide to get the rest. Could get tedious otherwise.

i found the bobbleheads to be a great incentive to explore every nook of the game world.

"is there going be one in here?"

"no"

"is there going to be one HERE?"

"YYYEESSSSS"

I had to look up two to complete the set, one of which was in the deathclaw sanctuary so i'd just missed the area, but the other i would never have found, being that it was in some random rock that was only marked with a tiny bit of bunting on the one place you could click to open a hidden door.

Three - it's Science (at main character's dad office at start of game, before you went for GOAT test) which you'll have another chance if you missed it first time (by doing that sidequest where you need to go back to Vault 101 to deal with the problem) and Laser (at Enclave hideout, part of main story, not sure where exactly it is but it's in one of rooms).

The third one depends what you plan to do with bomb. If you plan to blow Megaton, make sure to get Bobblehead (I think it's Strength? not sure) from the deputy's house before you went ahead with the bomb. If you plan to disarm the bomb then you don't need to worry about this one - it'll stay that all the way of the game.

Started Tomb Raider last night and have been hooked all day, it's bloody brilliant. Enjoying it far more than the Uncharted games so far.
